on a serious note, was just reading about the Icelandic song. The lyrics are very sad, it's a sorta lullaby that a mother sings to her child before throwing the baby into a waterfall cos she rather do that than giving the baby to the authorities...


"This song was written by Jóhann Sigurjónsson in 1912 for his play about the legend outlaw Fjalla-Eyvind, while hiding he meets the widow Halla and they fall in love, the fruit of that love is Tóta.
When the sheriff discovers Fjalla-Eyvindur whereabouts they are on the run.
They are caught surprised and instead handing the child Tóta over to the authority she is forced to throw the child in the waterfall after singing this lullaby."
