Dear Eskimos,
Yesterday was the Munich Gig - sold out! First of all: I got my aftershow-hug and it was fabiulous :-) The whole show was great. He seemed relaxed and at ease. Before the show started he sat infront of the venue and three people were talking with him and one of them played a song on his own guitar it seemed. There was no support band planed but suddently all of those three young singer-songwriters where aloud to play one song. Each of them started by saying that this was the greatest day of their life. They were really good and acctually it was refreshing to have three short and nervous opening acts. Great that he gave them this chance! The audience was very silent and respectful but sang sometimes so quietly that it was like a magic backround choir. He started with old songs and the new one were safed for last, no rare songs. At one point he said that Germans have such a hard time feeling guilty about themselves and the audience began to roar unisono instantly. Quickly he explained that Irish and Germans are so similar in this aspect and most of his German friends behave in a similar was he used to. He was chatty and in a good mood. Next year he'll be back with a new album he reassured! This is hopefully getting more reliable each time he announces it. No aftershow because Germany is just to ****ing cold, but he stayed in front of his tourbus chatting with people. Not Italy but nice anyway. I will post the setlist and a front row phone recording (no cutting or any of the fancy stuff, sorry) in the next days. Have a good time all of you! |

Sounds fabulous! Thanks for sharing. Any story where he can be real and just normal with fans who adore him is so fun to read. I think we are so fortunate to be his fans because he does that for us. And, giving young artists the opportunity to live their dream and perform is so generous!
In case I'm sounding too sickeningly sweet, I'm over this setlist. Last edited by InspirationDestination; 08-01-2015 at 02:59 PM. |

Someone requested Amie and he went directly for it. And someone asked for Mustard Seeds which was pitifully just answered with a smile
