Damien at Sanremo 2014

it's an Italian festival, only italian artists and italian songs but they usually have international guests... Damien is one of them this year...
international guests only play one or two songs BUT what's interesting is that they usually go when they have new material to promote. Like a new album or new single or something. Not sure if it's Damien's case, but one can hope...

No it's very expensive, it's mostly only press and VIP's...

Shahar, it's the Italian national public broadcasting company.
I don't know if you can watch it online, but I'm sure someone will post it on youtube...
For some reason we do receive RAI uno over here, now I'll finally have a reason to watch it!

Rai streams on its official channel, I'm pretty sure you can watch if you're outside Italy too.

The better option would be watching it online, because it's not sure that there will be youtube videos... Rai usually does a massive job in deleting youtube videos for copyright reasons... So the only way we can watch afterwards is if Rai uploads it to its youtube channel, but they don't do it with all the videos... so if you want to be sure to see it, watch online...

Rufus Wainwright was on around midnight (Italy time) yesterday too... so if you don't want to watch the whole thing, just turn on the streaming at 11.45 and there's a big chance you'll catch him...

I don't know if there's an english version of the website... anyway, if it's in italian, when the festival begins, you'll see a link that goes like "segui il festival IN DIRETTA" (=watch the festival live)

I don't think the stream works outside Italy. I was making some tests trying to see if I could capture it and no luck. I have RaiTV but I forgot to check if they show the festival live here.
Any chance someone can capture/record it?

I just went onto the catch up service on the Rai website and was able to access last night's coverage (I'm in the UK). Hopefully this means that those who can't watch it live will still be able to see it on Rai

Not sure, Eva. Maybe it depends on the country... I have friends in the UK that watch it every year on the official website. But now I'm reading on facebook that it's blocked in the U.S.

Anyway, it's a big deal in Italy (for some reason) and if you have a Rai channel, I'm pretty sure they'll air the festival... Also, check if you have a channel named "Rai International" or something.

Anyway, don't bother too much with the live streaming if you can't manage... I'm pretty sure we will find a way to rip it and share afterwards

You can use a VPN to stream Rai from the US.
There are some decent free VPN services.
I can record it, but I'm not sure that I can get it from my recorder to my computer. I'll try anyway.

Rufus's gig is available on replay. There was a short interview in between the songs he did. I guess Damien won't do that?

Just caught this on RAI. I only heard Blower's daughter was there anything else?

I wonder if Damien hates North America, he never came back Ive been waiting since '06 for a chance to see him as I missed out that year dammit.....He attended the odd film festival or european festival but nothing for those of us in NA. He seems to not care much for his fans and its starting to annoy me. I gave him all the creative /not inspired license in the world over the years but now I think its something more selfish. Sorry, maybe Im way off base.
