I sooooo miss reading just for the fun of it. I can't even remember the last "normal" book I read, it's all study books for me, also interesting, but not exactly entertaining to read.
I did read Naked by David Sedaris not too long ago, a book with a collection of his short stories. Also very funny.

The Fountainhead is actually on our reading list for junior year. I've just finished East of Eden by John Steinbeck, and I just started Their Eyes Were Watching God by Zora Neale Hurston.

well, it was quite alright - basically about what it was like being trapped on either side of the iron curtain. i had a good german teacher, bless him; he chose good texts for us to read.

i remember a novella called 'liebe twischen ost und west'. i hate it cause it was school stuff, but really it was a quite ok story.

Reading a couple of books just now. My Life AsA Weapon by Cristophe Reuter, an exploration of the motives, aims and history of suicide bombers. Very interesting.

The other one is Tell No One, by Harlan Coben. Just started reading that one.

I read The Da Vinci code last week.... and I for one didn´t like it too much. The first half of it I really enjoyed reading and was immensely interesting, but then I thought it just got out of hand. Too much of a sensational plot, predictable and silly. My humble opinion...

Still I am oblivious to fear and the wicked do not scare me

i haven't read a book since christmas, but theres a book i read a few years ago called Hard Man Of The Swings, i cant remember the author, but its one of the best i've ever read - it starts by saying ..i dunno if a 2.2 bullet can kill a man, ive just shot my dad....then it goes back to his childhood and works up to what makes him shoot his dad.....genius !

i've been splitting my reading time lately between nakedby david sedaris and james frey's amillion little pieces.

but then today i picked up a copy of a crazy book called the system of dante's hell at a used book store.as far as i can tell in the first twenty or so pages, this novel is the intersection of childhood and hell. it's enough to put my other reading on hold.

Absolutely mothing wrong with comics. Bought the Dark Knight returns yesterday, will read it after finishing Watchmen, then I'll read another proper book. Never read any Frank Miller before, it had better be as good as everyone says.

Right now I'm reading David Sedaris' new one..."Dress Your Family in Corduroy and Denim"
Halfway through it, it's really good. I love all of David's work.

And his sister, Amy Sedaris, does great work. The family has a great warped sense of humor. Me, my mom, and my brother all get into their work. We're one warped family. Edited by: HydeBurns
