Yay I want to read a driver theory book, and I want to memorise the Highway Code!

(I want to become a Police Class 1 driver)

I am reading a tale of 2 cities by charles dickens it is ace!! I read old books because they are cheap and written so well.EspeciallyDicko Bleak house is good to.

The book I read before that was catcher in the rye which I thought was totally overated my friend said it changed his life I dont see how.

I read life of pi that isbrilliant one of the best books I have read.

And next on the list to read is catch 22.

I read alot at the mo cos I am bored!

I finished "Cardiff Dead" by John Williams, and it was so good! It's abt a ska band that did a hit in the 80's and then split. They meet again 20 years later after the death of one member of the band.

You can feel music, and love, but like in real life, not silly romance! And Cardiff... God you can feel Wales in that book! It's also a bit of a polar, but not too much (I don't like polars)

Just finished About A Boy by Nick Hornby. I've been waiting for the book to NOT be on loan at the library for a couple of years. It's *that* popular. [img]smileys/smiley5.gif[/img]

Great book. Hornby is awesome.

The State of Democratic Theory by Ian Shapiro for the second time (it takes a goodcouple read-throughs, for me anyway) I highly recommend it to anyone interested in the topic. It touches on a lot of general issues that'll get your mind working about specifics.Edited by: cneill

frank miller is generally really good, all of those daredevil issues are pure gold.

the dark knight returns is an excellent read (i'd recommend it to anybody), its one of the best books from the 80's its up there withwatchmen and the rest, the sequel, thedark knight strikes back was a bit dissapointing though (thats just my opinion though)

Really liking it. The first Batman I've ever read, prior to this my only exposure to the character was the films and the Adam West TV show. I see now that the films (the first 2 anyway) were not really as great a leap in attitude as I had thought.

I promise I'll read a proper book next and write about it. [img]smileys/smiley2.gif[/img]

it was my firt Dan Browne book reading, i read it in i think 3 days, once i read the first chapter i couldn't put the book down, i even came home drunk one night and read a few chapters, the girl that gave it to me said she had read da vinvi code and it was equally as good, doubt ill find any more dan browne books over here (in Ios) though! theres a corner of one pub we go to called 'book swopping corner, as there isn't even one book shop in Ios!!!

cool, i'm reading gatsby at the moment....i took a dislike to it when i was younger (16 or 17) and wouldnt read it, but i started again (not that i'm ''old'' now...i am but 23!) and its not half bad!! havent finished yet, so i'm hoping its got a nice twist!

I bought Angels and Demons yesterday, I'll probably start it tomorrow. The first chapter of it was at the end of the Da Vinci code and it looked pretty good.

there's a movie yeah, but the book is completely different, different story line and everything yet there are a few similarities to be found.

What is the da vinci code like. I get the idea its brilliant from all these reviews but I hadn't heard of it before..sorry if that makes me ignorant! What is it about... I think I might have to give it a try once Ive read catch 22.

I've just been on holidays so i've read loads recently.
I actually just finished Star of the Sea today. I didnt really like it, i thought it was a bit pretentious or something at times.
Unfortunatly, as i hadnt slept in severel nights, I didnt understand the ending fully. If some eskimo could kindly tel me what the deal was with the end it would muchly relieve my poor brain, addled by sleep deprivation and sea sicknes

very fragmented. i read the incantation of frida k and enjoyed it, but i'm not quite sure how i feel about this book. i find myself kind of missing a paragraph format...
