Question A little help here...

I have been sitting here wondering about the song "Baby Sister." I know the lyrics toward the end is the Ave Maria- but what language? It's been bugging me all day.

won't fully clarify your question, but maybe it'll help you a bit?

if you ever find a transcript of those words i'd love to have them too, it's bugging me too cause i wanna perform the song darnit!

Wow- thanks! I knew it wasn't the Ave Maria- it just happened to say the words. EVERY lyric site I found just said it was the Ave Maria... but never wrote it out. So annoying!

I tried looking at different languages as well. I thought maybe there was some Spanish or Portuguese in it. I don't know... I'm gonna find out though! If I do, I'll let you know...

Ave Maria - Hail Mary (Italian)
Torre - Tower (Italian)
Jose Hosanna - (Cry of praise to Joseph) (Hebrew)
Qui te Maria - Here you Maria (Italian)
Volle - It wanted (Italian)
Hallelulah - (Expression of Joy/Thanks) (Hebrew)

I know this is not right, but it may be close... I mean, it kind of fits. If the child is abused, then “Torre Jose Hosanna” could be her abuser, as if to say “the powerful man” or "powerful father." Then it goes on to say that all she wants is to find some joy.

I wonder if I can just ask him... I need to find an address...

i dunno, to me it sounds like she's singing 'hose hosanna', not 'josé'

it just seems odd to me if it should be mixed languages - i think it is all latin. there is greek and hebrew in latin - especially if it's clerical latin - and italian and spanish are latin languages. i don't know latin though, it's just a feeling i've got. but yeah, maybe we should just write el damo and ask him what it's all about.
