Default christmas biscuits

i'm baking today, so i thought i'd share my family recipe for christmas cookies

sugar cookies - double batch
4 eggs - well beaten (set aside)
2 cups butter
2 cups sugar
cream together butter & sugar
add eggs and 2 teaspoons of vanilla
add 5 cups flour
4 teaspoons baking powder
throw in a little salt

chill

put in wax paper in refrigerator and it's easier to take a small amount out at a time. roll out and cut with cookie cutters

bake @ 350 degrees (farenheit - not sure how this translates for european ovens) for 12-15 minutes or until edges are golden brown

buttercream frosting
1 pound powdered (confectioners) sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla (i like more)
1/3 cup soft butter

mix with food coloring for different colors.. and don't forget to leave some out for santa on christmas eve
