'Ello, I'm Natalie. Er. I'm from California, I've been posting here for a while, so now I should probably formally introduce myself. I LOVE Damien's music, to the point of a bit of an obsession. And I'd give my left arm to go to his concert this Thursday. Sadly, I don't think I'll be able to make it, the odds are against me, what with me living in California/not being eighteen/the gig being sold out.

This is a great site, I'm happy to find a good site to get some music of his and to chat about him and his spectacular band! Edited by: NatalieMarzipan

I love that song! I listen to the version by Jeff Buckley most of the time, but I like Rufus Wainright's version too. I can play a few bars of it on the piano, not very well, though.

Thanks, you guys.

The thing I like about this forum is that most people are friendly, I went to another fan forum of a book or something a while ago and everyone was at each other's throats...it's nice to find one where people are nice.

It's certainly freezing here, those people who say "Sunny California" are insane, it's pouring rain.

But I'm spoiled weather-wise, I'm sure.

I've only heard Damien's version a few times, and only one recording of it (I've never been able to go to any of his live shows, sadly. He should come to California soon! Or else I'll go to Ireland...), and I like his version of Hallelujah a lot. In my opinion, Jeff Buckley's version is my favourite, but maybe that's because it's just a better sound quality or something. I really like Damien's version, though, too.
