itīs crazy how well itīs filmed, thatīs a close-up
and the bit when he mentions he wanted to cancel it all but someone made him sit on a chair and play the 8 songs from start to finish and then he realised it was good

Damien did a car trip from dublin to barcelona in 2008, 10 days and was supposed to write one song per day Ryan made a sorta video diary, it's on YT

theyīre on Ryan le garrecīs Youtube channel
weīve heard a couple of them... the one from day 5 he played it in Reykjavyk (a bit of it)... the one from day 6 he played it at the Grado aftershow and we know it was also recorded in the studio during the first Iceland sessions back in the day

Well, that was fast the clips were sooo short, I didn't expect that. On the other hand I had no knowledge about these videos an hour ago, so can't complain about discovering something new (old) from Damien, which is always a good thing
I don't recognize any of the songs there though |

This is a tangent for sure, but I found loads of videos on youtube of Anthony De Mello, the Jesuit priest Damien mentions in this piece. The videos are really great (and I'm an atheist, so you need not be a Christian to enjoy them). You can hear many of the refrains Damien is repeating in these interviews coming from these De Mello lectures. Here's my favorite so far, but there are many:
