Tibet Benefit March 3, 2011
Tibet House US will host its 21st Annual Benefit Concert at New York’s Carnegie Hall on March 3. In addition to the concert’s Artistic Director Philip Glass, the show will feature R.E.M.’s Michael Stipe, The Roots, Patti Smith with Jesse Smith and Michael Campbell, Angelique Kidjo and James McCartney . Several additional performers will likely join the event’s lineup in the coming weeks. Past participants have included: Trey Anastasio, David Byrne, Ben Harper, The Black Keys, Iggy Pop, David Bowie, Paul Simon, Sheryl Crow, Moby, Sigur Ros, Bright Eyes, R.E.M., The National, Natalie Merchant, Regina Spektor, Rufus Wainwright, Vampire Weekend, Emmylou Harris, Ray Davies and Damien Rice, among others.
http://www.jambands.com/news/2011/01...concert-lineup At $450 for the cheapest ticket, I will certainly have no chance of going. But maybe he could have some mercy and do a little busking in the Big Apple... |
