^^ I'm a little scared of some of those angry Scots and Irish people. I'm sorry I don't know what my Edenbee is, I don't even know what an Edenbee is, why won't they explain it to me and why are they pointing at me what have I done???

from hollywood today:

Quote:
Irish Singer Lisa Hannigan Hits L.A.
November 9th, 2009
Lisa Hannigan is opening in Los Angeles for David Gray at the Orpheum theater on November 9th and has her own show at the Troubadour on November 10th
By Victoria Smith

Since her days of singing with Damien Rice, Lisa Hannigan has worked with Herbie Hancock and with Gary Lightbody of Snow Patrol. On the road she’s packing Irish-icana, Americana stylin’ from Ireland, songwriter Gavin Glass on guitar. She left the stage to a standing ovation as she closed her show last night in San Francisco with a nod to Depeche Mode, covering Personal Jesus.
and more.

I think she said in a more recent interview that she worked with Hancock with Damien and then again post-Damien.

I don't think I'm making that up ... but it is possible.

Eva- you are talking to the technologically clueless. I could try and figure out how to do it with my husband, but I would need really detailed instructions for the technologically disabled. Sorry. If it is super important to you, I can try.
She sang "Lille". He raved about her. I think that she almost always looks stunningly beautiful, but I don't know what the problem was with this, maybe the lighting, but I thought that she was looking a little rough. Sounded great though.

LOL don't worry. I have no idea either, we don't have that Tivo technology over here. but many people record stuff and then copy it to the PC so I thought you may be able to do it. there's no problem really, I'm sure some that it'll appear on youtube

I'm not a Grammy expert but as far as I know it's rather hard for a foreigner to be nominated let alone winning it...
And just for the record: I find Lady Gaga and Beyonce sooo annoying...

Two new articals with Interview pieces of Lisa...talking about special edition of 'sea sew' and new album...
Galwaynews.ie
Herald.ie
Quote:
She does admit, however, that she's a little burnt out today, although that has nothing to do with performing. Instead, she's spent the past week stitching the artwork for a special Christmas release of Sea Sew, featuring specially recorded live tracks and videos for the singles Lille, I Don't Know and Keep It All. "It's a lot of work," she says, "but nothing compared to what I did for the original album. That was like being in a sewing sweatshop. It took me a month to do."
Quote:
That manifesto might contain some dark notes when she records her second album next year. "I've a couple of songs that are about more painful things than what characterised Sea Sew, which had lots of songs about that lovely time when you have just fallen for someone. But you never know how something is going to pan out 'til it's completed. The next album might be darker in tone, but definitely not in sentiment."

If the "specially recorded live tracks" are coupled with music videos for the special edition, I guess we could assume that the bonus disc will be a DVD, not CD? Sounds good to me, I've been hoping for a special edition! Maybe she'll finish sewing all the lyrics, too, to make a more extensive booklet.

As for the new album, also sounds great! If she includes all the tracks she's been "flying up the flagpole" recently, we already know how good it'll be.
