Anyone else read it? A bit harsh, don't you think! Ah, just goes to show that most critics would know good music if it was...well...played right in front of them! Probably thinks J.Lo is a musical genius.

The Herald one was miles better.
The Globe "reporter" missed out on the "Glory Box" cover, got the girl's name wrong, never bothered to even listened to the album and is a disgrace for a newspaper that is home to Putlitzer Price winning writers. Bah! |

yes, i did read the Boston globe review. the correspondent - Jonathan Perry - is a cynical donkey butt. This jerk was probably in the back sipping shirley temples and looking at his watch every five minutes.
i think he compared one of Damien's songs to MatchBox22 - I have no idea where this wad got that comparison from. True, Damien is tinge reminisent of the late Buckley, but is that so bad really? I went a Rice concert several days before the Boston one and I got none of the same vibes as J. Perry. Maybe -kavu- you are right and Perry should just stick the the J. Lo crap and leave the true artists for the appreciators. One wasted Rice ticket on a jaded popular culture worshipping loser!

oi, why even read those...oneself is the only true judge of music and what it means to you.

I thought getting ones name right involves spelling it right, Pawdy [sic], no? I mean, for a journalist? The "man of letters" and such?
