Amazing show tonight! Can't land yet and find words to describe this rare moment of pure magic. I think this is the setlist, correct me if I'm wrong
1 - Colour Me In 2 - Amie 3 - 9 Crimes 4 - IDWTCY 5 - Woman Like a Man 6 - Elephant (the end was a masterpiece of sensitivity) 7 - MFFF 8 - Eskimo 9 - Sand 10 - The Professor and La Fille Dance 11 - I Remember 12 - The Greatest Bastard 13 - Volcano Encore 14 - The Box 15 - Trusty and True I've recorded all the show with my camera but first half is in only audio as I was stucked on my chair just able to hear, I'll post as soon as I can the video parts and an audio file, be patient I'm not very gifted with all this and very buisy next days but it will come, I hope quality wouldn't be too low and that others manage to record great pieces of this gig. |

Just woke up with a daft big grin on my face - it was really a great show! I recorded the audio just by putting my phone on the floor, so the quality will be ok-ish. I'll have proper internet on Friday so if nothing better has surfaced by then I'll upload what I have! Will post later, back to sleep zzz

It was my 3rd Damien Rice concert and it was amazing. And I'm happy I was able to discover the Folies thanks to him cause it really is a beautiful venue (even if the seat killed my back…)
I woke up this morning with The Box and Trusty and True in my head. I’m glad cause when I first listened to the new album, upon hearing T&T I thought it would be the perfect song to end a gig and that’s just what he did. But the choir was an amazing bonus! Goosebumps everywhere… Another bonus is hearing Damien speaking French and making adorable mistakes in the process… It really was a wonderful night! |

Want to share any stories? I love to hear what he says between songs.. I read somewhere his mammy was a french teacher, not sure if that's true but that's seemingly where his bit of french comes frm!

Right now, I don't remember exactly all he said but Lys summed it up very well.
Yes, I read this too, I think it might be true because he really speaks well in French. He makes the typical english speakers mistakes (that makes all the charm of it!) but he doesn't hesitate when he talks and you can see he really enjoys it. I find it really refreshing and that way the connection with the audience is great. Although I'm not sure there were many french people last night... I heard english all around me. He switched to english in the last part of the concert, I wish he would have stick to French a bit more but it's just my old french self speaking! |

thanks you all for the pics, videos and reviews. If you watch closely in the Sand video, he dropped the guitar pick, but I love that he managed to pick it up and finished the song with best possible way ^^
and another tip for you: after a gig you can always go to www.flickr.com and type "Damien Rice" in the search bar and choose sort to "recent". Usually very nice pics will come up : D |

I think he hit a wrong note in the middle of Elephant too, but he managed it really well afterwards.
No transition: did any of you catch the name of the opening band? I only understood they were from Copenhagen, but the singer talked so quietly I didn't catch their name... |

Flew home late last night and worked all day today – sleepy!
Well worth it though, and I’ve uploaded my recording to 4shared here: http://www.4shared.com/music/aBk4lWX...es051114.html? It starts at 22ish minutes, I put my phone down early . For some reason when I try to play it on windows media player it’s a bit jumpy, but works fine on winamp and on the 4shared streaming thing. I was surrounded by strapontins and you can hear them creak a bit, but personally I don’t mind it, I think of it as the Folies joining in haha . I really thought that the girls from Grenoble were great, especially the first one to sing. Listening back reinforced that. Trusty and True with the choir was amazing too, I love how they sort of syncopated their part!
