I just saw Damien last night in Seattle and was
extremely impressed. Just curious, is he usually
pretty quiet during shows? He didn't say much in
between songs. Does anyone know the name of the
band that opened for him? I didn't catch their name.

Hi and welcome!

Damien has been a lot more quiet on this last tour than he has been previously. He used to chat a lot more, make jokes, introduce songs properlyetc.Guess he is in a different mood now. Could be because he plays a lot more of those "new" more angry songs (preparing for recording the new album perhaps?).The opening band was The Frames. Great Irish band.

Thanks. I've noticed that the personality of
performers definately varies from show to show. I've
been to some and they have been really chatty and
the same performer on another night will barely say
anything. Completely understandable though, the
music is entertaining enough where talk in between
isn't necessary, but a nice addition. Thanks for the
opener's name. I really enjoyed them a lot.

good, they're really nice and so brilliant live. There are many on this board who theorize that they will be very popular internationally after this tour.

Welcome mphamma, Damien said recently he's tired (but happy) because of the hard touring, so perhaps this is the reason he's not so chatty anymore... just a guess

Welcome mphamma, as the others have explained...touring is taking a toll on Damien and Band....I witnessed a more talkative bunch in Nov...lovin' the Frames...they really encouraged a new energy to the beginning of the nites festivities!
