Corey,
It's happening this weekend. I've been gathering opinions on the mastering. I'm almost ready to make the decision on which mix to go with. Did you get the private message i sent you? Dave |

Good news
Expect the recording to be on-line tomorrow night or Wednesday afternoon. It will depend on my schedule. However, I'm very happy with the final mix. It came out as good or better than I expected.

Corey and Cille,
Many thanks for the encouragement. I've captured some good stuff before, but this takes the cake for sound quality. Some didn't think it was that good of a show and that's fine, but at least the recording is good. Yes, it will be torrented. I'll send you all an early PM so that you can all get an early start on it. Maybe I'll have a few of you download it from another source so that when the torrent goes live, it won't have a slow start. Dave |

My apologies for not posting sooner.
just wanted to let you guys know I didn't drop off the earth.
I had expected to release the Boston show on Tuesday, but got side tracked on the project because of a visit from unexpected family. I didn't have the time on Wednesday or Thursday due to previous engagements. Tonight and tomorrow morning, I will complete the work I was expecting to have done Tuesday night. To give you an ETA - Saturday or Sunday. Dave |

*my bad* forgot that you need a password for the presale, guess we will all have to wait and see what tickets are left after all the scalpers/agents have had their way with the first 30-60 rows Last edited by poe11371; 02-23-2007 at 04:48 AM. |

Could we possibly keep the ticket discussion to one of the three threads about the upcoming tour?
Or, preferably, figure out how to read the internet for yourselves instead of expecting people to explain everything to you. |

presale info
nice attitude. presale info(dates, times, etc) is not really the issue. it's the fact that you need a special password in order to do it. that password, as best i can tell, has not been posted anywhere. so, that's the help some true damien fans that really want to get in on the show are looking for. suprising that the dedication to want to see him live is such an inconvenience for you. you must be 1 of the special people who have mastered the internet & belong to "the secret presale password society". too bad we all can't just help each other out to achieve the same goal... to see a kick-ass show!
ok, so there's that. have a swell day |

Did you ever walk into a barbershop and ask for a tomato? No?
Then why enter a conversation about a recording from two months ago and ask how to get tickets to something in May? |

How about because the folks who went to the December Boston show might check this thread, and might also know something about the ticketing for the May show? Are you paying server costs for this forum? If not, why do you feel the need to be thread police? |

New News on Boston Recording
Hi All,
Sorry for the lack of information & delay. I wanted you all to have this information. Is there anyone who would be willing to work on some short sections of the show that need a really professional hiss reduction program. I'm a very good mastering amateur, but do we have any professionals in on this site that may be able to take a couple of sections to a real studio? This would be put into a second remastered release. Not for what I plan to release on Monday. I wrote this a short time ago to very supportive Eskimo Friend & would love to know if this will satisfy everyone??? Hey, Good to hear from you. My problem is that I'm too much of a perfectionist. I have a few spots where the mics rubbed together and I'm trying to take away some background hiss produced by the recorder. You can hear it on soft songs because the audio level in the venue was so low compared to the amount of noise the recorder makes. I think I'm going to handle this in the following manner: a.) Release this version that I have that is 98% to perfection. Some small flaws, but not a distraction to even most picky listeners. b.) Take my time on a second release that will be remastered over a couple of months with all the professional tools, bells and whistles. Hey, I've never seen a rule where you can't have a remaster down the line ;-). It's just not worth worrying about the small little problems that I can hear that very few people will even notice. Like I said, I'm a bit of a perfectionist. That's my biggest problem. Thus, I'll package the whole thing together tonight and tomorrow as is, and upload it. Dave |
