Default how is it becoming to be called Nine Crimes?

there is no reference in song no? He never says "nine"

It's called Nine Crimes because he introduces it by saying "this is called Nine Crimes".

Yes, who among us hasn't wondered that? I just made a joke about it here the other day, in fact.

I asked Damo himself a few years ago about the significance of the frequent use of the number "nine" in his songs ("Wooden Horse" and "Rule No. 2" also feature it prominently). He said he honestly didn't know why he puts it in so much.

I asked "so is it a sub-conscious thing then?" and he said "maybe it's more like a super-conscious thing!"
