Thumbs up I think I am the only Japanese who covers Damien Rice's

I don't know the exact reason why Damien is not very famous in Japan. So here is the only perfect place for me to share information about him.
I may be the only Japanese who cover Damien Rice's songs in Japan and I hope my covers will be listened to by people as many as possible. Here are my covers.

Had some fun with "Volcano" and a not-so-much-willing-to-sing crowd for World Music Day. I did not uploaded this.

The first one is my live cover of "coconut skins", recorded in June '11.
Wait for your comments.

Here is my cover of The Professor. It was recorded in a studio in 1 take - scary but exhilarating!

Covers from Jicello:

The sound of the cello goes pretty well with Damien's music, don't you think? ^_^

Hello

This is my cover of Favourite Faded Fantasy. I absolutely love this song, well, every song of his actually but this one in particular stopped my heart when I heard it.

http://youtu.be/7Hr4WSGTQAQ

Thank You

I can't wait to see Damien in Toronto on Nov 18th! This will be my third time but the first time up close! 2nd row. I'll be the one crying and singing along in bliss <3

Lightbulb It Takes A Lot To Know A Man

Hi guys,

I found you bunch looking for people who are interested in Damien, and thought you might have some opinions on my take on this great song.

I'm a songwriter in the states (California), and this new record reminded me how formative Damien's records were to me back when I started writing a few years back. It inspired me to record my first cover in a few years. Hope you enjoy this version, and would love to know what you think!

I don't know if I should post this...But I did an incredibly drunk version of Volcano with my good friend/love of my life about a year ago and I'm just now re-discovering it and all its flaws.

Anyways, hope someone enjoys it. https://soundcloud.com/blindmelonade...t-chicky-robin

I was unintentionally inspired by Amie while writing this song, so much so that I decided to change the key to allow me to merge the two songs together when I play it live.

While I'd love for you to listen to the whole thing, if you just want to hear the relevant part, skip to about 3:48.

(Also, my apologies for the video starting out of focus. It gets better about halfway through!)

Cheers!

Hey,

First post here, although i come a lot to this forum, but i really had to say that your cover is really good and i truly think that covering damien is something hard to do, the guy's quite unique, but you did a great job here.

Hey guys! I haven't posted on here in ages, but I figured I'd share my cover of The Waiting Song! I uploaded it to Youtube exactly four years ago now (crazy).

Awe, man. No recording of them (since I was busy singing/playing at the time) but I used to cover something like the first four songs of the O album when I was up in the San Francisco area. Everybody used to like that and one of the bartenders was Irish, so there you go.
