what gives me hope is that HMV don't make up info, that date must be based on something...

and with 9, the release also came out of the blue, no one was expecting it, and boom, there it was... it's not that we knew it months and months in advance... so might be the same this time

wishful thinking again... but i'm sure if it's not June it will be Aug or Oct but I think it's coming

I'll say that I've also heard the Liam Gallagher solo album isn't coming until fall, so not sure if the date can be relied upon, but this seems like promising news.

I am so excited since I have seen the possible release date. Actually I am looking into this thread hoping to read any kind of confirmation. I'll keep my fingers crossed for all of us

I went in to HMV (Canterbury) yesterday and picked up one of those 'listen' leaflets. I asked the guy at the till about the album and he said 'the date is confirmed, it's not a rumour'

(it is possible that he doesn't actually know and he was just trying to get rid of me though...)

Thought i'd share anyway!

I had a similar experience in HMV Folkestone, they said it wouldn't have been printed if there wasn't some kind of truth in it, although they hadn't heard anything of a new album either.

From what we know through twitter is that Steve Lillywhite is helping with the next Damien Rice album. The last post lillywhite put up about damien was that he was a great talent and that he can't wait for the next session. Since then he hasn't said anything about working with damien. The album is prob half way done. Which means its not coming out for a little while.

I have absolutely no idea about the producing process, but -if it's any help at all- at the moment Steve Lillywhite is working with Liam Gallagher and his new (old) band (everyone from Oasis except his brother

^He is famous for his trademark Clearmountain break, which is a totally silent break type thing. He is mainly a mixer, not a producer, but he has produced some things. He's a really big name in mixing.

I haven't heard Clearmountain's name mentioned in connection with Damien before though?
