This is indeed exciting! <3 (i actually dobut it's her but it's kind of similar ) The damo song sounds good from the 30 seconds i heard of it too... haha.... i'll maybe wait for the itunes release if there will be one...

Edit: OK, apparently there are regional restrictions between UK and DK too, so it didn't work for me on amazon.co.uk after all

I don't think it's the crime of the century to post this song, it's only a single track and it's not like it's a charity album or anything.
Edit: link removed, fair point borneoman I think it's a great track, not a Damo classic by any means, but great all the same. Last edited by daavo; 03-03-2010 at 10:59 AM. |

^I'd stick to share via pm. Sharing mp3s of studio tracks is illegal and you could put Emmet in trouble

After listening several times, I think it's a good song, not a classic, but honest and real.
I prefer also Damien singing in the high register of his voice. Anyway, a good song. |

It's a fantastic song, in my opinion. I like it a lot, and I feel like it's much different from Damien's other stuff. What it does though, is make me crave a friggen new Damien Rice album..
If anyone feels like PMing me High Hope, I'd be extremely appreciative.. |

I do prefer when Damien sings higher, bit too low in here imho, but I think it's an amazing song. Loving the lyrics too.
But I see this as a one-off song that's not gonna be on album 3. I reckon it might have written especially for this compilation... In fact I love all the newies we're getting recently. I think Damien is on top form. I do prefer What If I'm Wrong (Damien at his best) but this one is good too...

^I'm with Maria on this one.
Especially because the best thing ever is Bohemian Rhapsody.

Marti, I agree on everything you've said here except the part about the song being the best thing ever.

This is brutal. We finally get new Damien Rice material that we want to buy, and none of us can buy it! If anyone can help me, I'd love to hear the song as well. The preview is such a tease!

I'm so curious to know the credits for the song. I do hear cello so I guess Vyv's in there... I'm also guessing the physical CD will list the full credits... so did anyone get the physical CD yet? I ordered mine thru Barnes & Noble but might take a while... again, I'm not sure if B&N are only selling online or if they also have the CD in stores? Did anyone check? Did anyone buy it in a regular B&N store??

I also ordered mine through B&N online. I'm curious about the documentary that's included. Seems like Glen was part of it but I'm also hoping Damien is featured.
I think it's probably also available in-store, but people in the US are the only ones who can know for sure I suppose. |
