aaargh! Does all this mean that maybe the waiting for the new album is just a matter of months??
Thanks for the uploading! This new sound is great, I have to get used to the sound of the trombone anyway and the new/longer version of delicate is awesome. leaves me breathless

definitely hope so... It looks very promising, but you never know, it could take a while.

Found some nice pictures...

I could translate the Dutch text for you guys, but it doesn't contain any new info.

Thank you! The string changing moment was crazy haha, must have been so cool to be there.

I'm kind of getting excited that something may happen soon.... *prepares for trying not to be crushed if it doesn't*

I think the fact that a band is involved now, and they've been recording, is a hugely encouraging sign. But I wouldn't expect it to be actually released until Spring '14 at the earliest.

I can't even imagine the wild party we will be having here when the album will be released.

I can also see a lot of people disappointed by it no water what since it's been built up in their head for 7 years. Also I think based on the musicians in the band we can expect a very different sound from him (think summer 2007/pedestrian/sigur ros) which I'm very excited for but others may be resistant to change.

100% speculation.

Found myself sitting next to Gyða last night, eating pizza before múm's gig in Leeds last night but, sorry guys, I didn't have the nerve to quiz her about her involvement with Damien. But she's such a talented singer, musician and performer - if she's playing and singing on the new album then we're in for a real treat.

Although I'm really exited about the new band, and I'm a very happy with any news about the new album, I'm actually glad you didn't bother her with all of that, especially just before her own gig.

Also, this Gyða seems like a very interesting person and a great musician, but… (and I really hate to say this) I'm afraid I'll miss Vyv… (I love her personality and her excellent cello)

I totally agree with you, she seems to be a very artistic person and maybe maybe she will stand the comparisons with Lisa that someone will surely make. (I think Lisa is irreplaceable btw, she had a too important place in Damien's life)
Last week I saw a video installation of the Icelandic artist Ragnar Kjartansson and Gyda and her sister were playing in it! They were awesome! Here's a link if you want to look at some pictures of that performance http://www.thatscontemporary.com/event/1367

to be honest, i´ve never heard about Gyða before damien´s intimate gig, and i´m sure she´s great, but i do hope she was covering vyv that night.

I didn't either. I googled her, and she seems great. I can understand why he'd want to work with her. Could be interesting, but I would miss Vyv. She's the best and they sound perfect together. She's the only one that I've ever missed during his solo gigs.

I remember feeling like this everytime I heard Delicate. The cello during the refrain is heaven.

That seems right around the corner, I hope you're right!

I agree, I'm excited to hear a fresh approach with new personnel, it will undoubtedly bring a burst of creative energy to the mix, and that can only be good for the music.
