Default Lady Gaga-Love or Hate?

So I love Gaga. And I hate mainstream music. I just think her style and music are unique and she's my guilty pleasure.
Anyone else feeling the gaga love?

I hate her ****ing repetative, poorly composed songs.

But I wouldn't say I hate her as a person, at least she seems imaginative in some ways - her costumes are obviously always interesting, albeit a little desperate á la 70'ies Elton John?

She definately seems driven, maybe not in a healthy way, but what the heck. Who's healthy these days?

I think that she is fascinating. I would have said "hate" a month ago, but I gotta say that some of her songs are growing on me as a guilty pleasure. I am not proud of this. But what I really do like about her is her creativity. Her costumes, her performances, videos, attitude. Love all those. She's exciting to watch for sure. But I agree with Marti, I can't vote that I love her, but I certainly don't hate her. I am in the middle.

I just hear her song Alejandro and that's the worst song/lyrics ever...

Don’t call my name, Alejandro
I’m not your babe, Fernando
Don’t call my name, Roberto

The lyrics are REALLY bad and repetitive. I find her style way more interesting than her music.
She gets bonus points from me for having Alexander Skarsgard i her video though. He's yummy.

Neither. I find her fascinating and eccentrically entertaining. Her songs annoy me though, yet i'm singing them all the time because they are so annoyingly catchy. gggrrr

i find her fascinating as an eccentric person as well. her songs don't really grow on me, i have to say. i won't start talking about the lyrics.

but isn't it nice of her that the pope has a new song now?

I don't care about her. Not listening to the radio or watching MTV means that I'm not being exposed to whatever she's doing and it feels just fine this way.

Talentless, boring, stupid. Nothing original or innovative there. She's combining -or at least hopelessly attempting to fuse- other musicians' styles: musically, performance and appearance wise. She's trying too hard and it doesn't work. Some sort of parody of a parody of a parody. Nothing "lady" about her either, just a bunch of "gaga".

Don't care about her either way because that would imply emotion.

Frankly, her music gets on my tits.
There's nothing wrong with pop, but this is the kind of pop music that feels like torture after two listening sessions. Even newer Madonna songs are better than this sh.ite.

Plastic.

fyi. the way she dresses isn't just a persona or "style" really.. she claims that she dresses like that all the time on a daily basis.... she's definitely an odd ball.

If so, you are blessed! I wish i could go back....

WORD!
And I also agree with Haze that it's all gaga - as in 'all we hear is radio gaga...' - although I wouldn't call her talentless really, I mean she can play the piano and sing and ****, she likes to show that off once in a while in a very annoying way, but what she does with that talent is reallæy sad, although I'm sure she laughs all the way to the bank.
Also, must be fun wearing stuff like this:

GAGA GOOGOO GÜGÜ

David Ford has his two Milk & Cookies charity gigs coming up (Friday in London) and he runs a contest for his fans to chose five covers which are then bid on at the gig..........poker face was a leading candidate until David actually asked for the song to be removed............hah!

I didn't vote either as have no real opinion other than I must agree with Cille on all style no substance.....

I've heard about her, but don't know her music. The other day they announced on the radio that they were going to play one of her songs, so I listened so I could give her a chance, but it was terrible and I turned the station after about 30 seconds. Maybe her other stuff is better than that particular song, but I really don't want to find out.

Telephone...

A countless number of things to say about the video.

I do think Beyonce has probably never looked better than she does here. Darker hair color suits her so much better.

C'mon, I know you have an opinion.

^I'll see your Telephone and raise you a Video Phone... Just for fun. Also because its kind of great how both videos have nothing to do with what the songs are about. At all.

I like Boyonce with the Bettie Page bangs.

I ****ing love gaga now. I hated her when she first came out but she's a fantastic entertainer and makes amazing pop music. I think she's the new madonna but with more talent.

at least Gaga can write songs and play instruments, Madonna cannot... so I'll give Gaga that, but not sure if she's gonna stick around as long as Madonna (almost 30 years right?)

and yes, Beyoncé looks better with dark hair, she looks 'wrong' when blonde Halo Halo Halo lalalaa :

I use to like Gaga a lot! I love daring woman and her music is cool for dancing! But the Fame monster came together with a " trying too hard" style. By the time of Poker face she was looking sexy, daring, even beautiful (something that she isn't),but now she is looking really weird. The clothes, the hair and videos...the telephone video with beyonce is horrible I would say and I don't like beyonce or think they seem cool together. I believe people are already getting tired of her. I don't like the comparison with madonna! She never turned that weird. She is still the queen! Gaga lost her chance of becoming the new Madonna.
I still dont hate her,but I certainly dont love her anymore...

Well, far be it for me to defend Gaga, because well, I don't really like her music. But I do think that as an entertainer she is great, and in terms of voice she has the chops and is just as talented as whomever you want to compare her with. I don't think the songs are any better if they are sung by someone else said to have more talent.... if the songs had been originally mixed and sung by this Lissie person it still wouldn't make it any better for me, same song, same lyrics .....
