Does anyone here film themselves singing/playing and upload to youtube?

I did once but people attacked my style so Ive locked my videos.

(Im a very nervous performer).

I enjoy though, watching other peoples performances. post your vids here for me.

I had a look at your videos. Cool stuff. I liked your video "Monster Ballads by Josh Ritter" the most.

Ive added you as a youtube friend and If you like, you can go and have a look at elephant recorded by me. I didnt think it was so bad, until these people from Japan sent me horrible messages!!!

They said I sing like a 10 year old!!

Dont you listen to what other people say! Alot of people critizie just to be mean. Have fun and do what you love. People will see that. And also know this.. I see people I like all the time on youtube, but I never post. Becuase I am lazy. Dont sweat it.. I bet your great!

Thank u. I cant watch it. I think its sooooo bad but Ill leave it up until nxt time someone rips my (already diminished ego) apart again.

Im glad u liked it but I cant understand why!!

That song, vocally, is way beyond me anyway. Ill tackle something like Older Chests for next time.

The_Blowers_Uncle, your cover isn't bad at all, the problem is that the song is too complicated.. I think you should try to sing other songs that are easier.
About the bad comments you received.. I'll write some comments people have left.. in my Amie cover for example:

well, they are quite witty.. you can have a laugh with them.. it's better to have a laugh rather than take them seriously

Thanks alot guys..........as far as negative comments go....the only people who would take the time to type out something negative towards somebody playing music on youtube is a knob to begin with. Seriously Neither one of you deserve any negative comments....You both have done mighty fine jobs if i do say so myself and if you will notice all the people who send negative comments have no content of themselves to be judged....because they know if they did....well then people would tell them how incredibly horrible they sound and that they should probably get their thumb off the space bar and stick it right back up their ass. I bid you adieu.

Thanks all for your comments. Im starting to feel a little better about the whole thing now so maybe Ill post a few more clips. Ive got some pretty cool Damien rice karaokes so Im thinking of recording me sining along to them as well. (Im not only learning to play but also learning to sing, and doing both at once is still very challenginf 4 me). Wouldthis be interesting or boring though!

jimski, i've already seen our vids, but it just makes me smile each time i watch one of them! "the profesor.." is awesome!

and the_blowers_uncle, i know what you mean, i did lock one of my vids one day because i had bad comments on it! and not just one... but i didn't care of it until the artist i was covering said he didn't like it at all! so i respected him and erased my video!
but do not pay attention to the first person who doesn't like your job! it's a part of the youtube contract: when you sign it, you know there gonna be people who likes you (even a little bit more than they should), and some who doesn't! the worst is the guy who just likes to post horrible comments! this last one doesn't even exist to me, i just ignore him!

and serioulsy, you're doing a pretty good job so keep it up!

I started doing this a little while ago too - super fun and different than just recording stuff to upload as an mp3. People can definitely be mean on there to some musicians, but I have also met a lot of really amazing people through it

wany - your voice is beautiful - I subscribed. jimski - subscribed to you too - man you did a great job with the professor - it's probably one of the hardest songs to cover -- I have never dared do it in front of anyone hehe

Blowers uncle - the vid is private again - I guess I missed the window of opportunity hehe

Martin - really liked your Hallelujah - I need to cover that sometime -- I totally cracked up when it said "Take 13" at the beginning - great stuff
