ahhhh, that makes sense - thanks for the translation work there, sarah -you just bill me for that, ok my sig is SOOO hard to explain if you aren't swedish (or scandinavian at least) and know 'Emil in Lönneberga' by Astrid Lindgren... basically it says 'the wood shop, hopfaldera, the wood shop, hopfalderei'... i just had that song in my head all day cause i've been to sweden today, and then i'm sort of hoping for racognision from fellow scandinavian eskimos... here's emilfrom Lönneberga knitting away in his dad's wood shop:

thanks cille! funnily enough I sort of understood the hopfaldera hopfalderei part cos there's a dutch children's song that goes: Alle eendjes zwemmen in het water Falderalderiere, falderalderare Alle eendjes zwemmen in het water Falderalderalderaldera

they are indeed. do you know what THEY are as well? and after some googling i'm actually not at all surprised to learn that there are also dutch songs with the "word" hopfaldera in them

Funny, Cille, cos the german title was always "MICHEL aus Lönneberga".
I never read the books, but I used to watch the films always when I was younger...and I liked them all. Here are some other german titles of Astrid Lindgren films (or books of course): Ronja Räubertochter Pipi Langstrumpf Karlsson vom Dach Die Kinder von Bullerbü Die Brüder Löwenherz (one of my Lindgren faves, so beautiful ) Madita Quote:
schwimmen auf dem See schwimmen auf dem See Köpfchen in das Wasser Schwänzchen in die Höh' http://www.herbert-fritz.de/kinderli...lle_meine_entc hen.html I only know a traditional song (Volksmusik, Cecilie babe! ) that has this "Faldera" somehow in it: Im Frühtau zu Berge wir geh´n fallera, es grünen die Wälder, die Höh´n, fallera.
