I've never ever heard of "O" being available to anyone on vinyl, at any stage, ever. You can get Volcano, The Blower's Daughter, Cannonball, Silent Night, Lonelily, Lonely Soldier, Moody Mooday, and Unplayed Piano on various singles though (even though they all had a limited pressing so good luck finding them).

It's probably the most suitable album you could possibly imagine to be released as a record. I wonder why they never got around to it... It seems like exactly the sort of thing that Damien would go out of his way to do. Maybe they would have had to buy too many expensive bedsheets to make the covers.

or maybe it has to do with his opposition to plastic in general.. from an eco standpoint i guess albums are bigger than cd's so would require more plastic in the pressing.. i agree though, what a perfect record to have vinyl! it has a so much warmer and intimate sound that would perfectly complement O.. |

Maybe it has something to do with how it was recorded, he used to have that small blue 8-track with the hard drive in it, that was what he used to record "O", but most digital 8-tracks record to 44.1khz PCM Wav at 1411kbps. Which basically means to cd audio quality, vinyl is a big jump in up in quality, but I guess there's no point if it's not there on the master tapes. The only song that it would technically benefit would be 'Amie'.

but if that's true then there's no hope of a remaster at any point? no possible conversion to vinyl? that's kind of tragic in a way... can you imagine how cool it would be to have O as an album and all of the artwork lp size etc... |

Maybe we should ask him... I really couldn't imagine a remaster doing much for the overall sound, unless you were to seperate the individual tracks, take them to a studio and remix the whole thing. Of course that would be the worst idea ever because it would inevitably be done wrong, and the album would sound terrible. If you ask me I'd say it'll never make it to vinyl... Oh well.
