He played officially 3 times over the weekend. He also popped up a few times with other artists..
here are somewhat rough setlists

Friday - big tree

- Blower's Daughter Pt 2
- Volcano
- Nine Crimes
- Be My Husband

Friday night - Electric Arena
(in no order whatsoever as i wasnt in the remembering frame of mind!)
Professor & La Fille Danse
Rootless Tree
9 Crimes
Eskimo
Volcano
Blowers Daughter Pt 2
Woman Like A Man
Blowers Daughter
Cannonball
Cheers' Darlin
Coconut Skins

Electric Arena was packed to capacity for his gig. And i was dissapointed they played the quieter songs as it was a festival and theres no chance of getting any quiet from a crowd... I was stood quite near the back but still enjoyed it..

Saturday - Special Guest at Big Tree
luckily i noticed there was to be "special guests" so i banked on it being damien and got right up the front

- Me, My Yoke & I
- Cold Water
- 9 Crimes
- Then Go & Big Jam, a few other performers from the big tree stage came on too
- Be My Husband
- Lisa & Vyvienne (not sure on the song)
- a final jam which went on for about 30 minutes. Was the most intense jam ive seen damien and band do.

I noticed for the final gig most of the band seemed pretty out of it. Especially Lisa!! They were all in great form and seemed to really enjoy it, which made up for their grumpy selves at vicar street
So glad i caught the final gig as it was class!!

far too many highlights but the yeah yeah yeahs totally blew me away
i expected a nice little gig but it ended up being absolutely mindblowing

other non musical highlights
:the body & soul area. So damn cool with a kind of amphitheatre with everyone sitting around smoking
:Tír na gCaisce - Little place in the woods, mostly had raves going on. Went there sunday night and didnt get kicked out till 9am.
:The girls who robbed the golf cart. Absolutely hillarious and i really shouldnt of helped when they got it stuck in the mud..

All in all it was amazing. I got quite a reality kick when i had to leave

why does reality bite so much?

Yeah, they had it written up on the board, she was on after Duke Special and before Neosupervital. She played six songs... Tomo did some beatboxing, Damo played the djembe, it was all good. Very weird to hear so much completely new stuff in one go.

Oh yes, so many completely new songs in one go, songs that you're not likely to hear for a good while... not to worry though...
I was there. Muh ha ha ha ha ha ha.

thank you simon! you have provided the best coverage of the festival out of anybody! (much better even than bleepin' rte.ie imo)

glad you had such an amazing time, but sorry reality had to come crashing down (damn reality, i hate it)

maybe if there's a heaven it looks a lot like electric picnic.. sounds like heaven to me anyway

All particularly beautiful. Although one's ovaries don't just flutter, they become
a-flutter. If you plan on using my running jokes then don't bastardize them, lest
I become perturbed... The disco inferno that I am. For I believe it was Jesus
Christ who said; "you haven't lived until you've ... ... (help me out here)

It was the later show for the Dublin Gospel Choir, at the end of the set they brought on Lisa to sing 'Grandma's Hand/No Diggity' with them, then they brought on Paul to sing 'Flame' with them, then they brought on Damien to play 'Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For' with them. I'd never heard him playing the full version of it (when it's not part of a jam) before... Good stuff. You wouldn't have heard it because you're not indie and underrated enough.

What, now you're going to tell me you're from Montréal? That would be quite Avant-Garde and Post-Modern of you...
