Edinburgh 31 March 2007 Recording
Here is my recording from the Edinburgh damien rice show. my stupidity and equipment malfunction caused me to lose 2 songs and the end of delicate. pretty good quality considering the ease and small of amount of money needed for the equipment. any questions or comments appreciated
If anyone wants a lossless copy also let me know Damien Rice - Edinburgh - 31 March 2007 Joel Shearer would go back and forth between a small drum kit and electric guitar. He adds a lot. I have converted the original wav files to flac and when i get the time i will put them up on megaupload unless anyone has another option for me i dont know about. I cannot use bittorrent because of the very tough firewall on my uni network.

Can you mail me the discs? I'll send you a couple dollars to cover the costs.

Can I ask what equipment you used to record this? And from what seat?
The person I went with attempted a recording, but I think we were sat too near to the front (row D) for his equipment to handle the loud bits, it came out very distorted - ditto for the bits I filmed. Cheers. |

Lossless is referring to compression (making the audio file size smaller). MP3 is probably the most well know of the lossy compressions, meaning your audio quality suffers when you convert an audio file to MP3. FLAC or SHN are two of the most common lossless compressions used to share files via a torrent. A WAV file is uncompressed and as such VERY large. Hope this helps.

i was on the balcony and in row b but very close to the hanging set of speakers on the right.
I used my ipod with belkin tunetalk which allows recording straight into wav, lossless. my mac was a Sony ECM-DS70P Electret Condenser Stereo Microphone and i just held it in my hand on my leg throughout the entire show. it amazed me the quality i get doing that sorry i havent posted the lossless up. ill get there. and sorry mario ill get the files to you for the archive eventually |
