Here are a couple more shows to download via torrentdb.etree

I have a whole bunch of videos and audio recordings, but unfortunatly most of it is at home in Germany...I could see if I could get some of it in a couple of weeks, but can't promise anything...

Here's a list of what videos I have anyway:
04/04/03 Other Voices (but it's poor quality...does anyone have a better quality version?)
06/10/04 Austin City Limits (the quality is pretty good, but the pictures is like their's a veil over it)
05/07/04 jonathan ross show - bbc
07/24/04 "Headliners"
12/11/05 Nobel Peace Price
10/??/06 Abbey Road Studios
11/17/06 Late Night With Conan O'Brien
12/16/06 4Music in Session - Channel 4 Studio
(DVD quality)
01/13/07 Taratata
03/23/07 VG TV Studio
06/29/07 Hove Festival
(I think that's his whole performance I have and it's petty good quality as well )
07/01/07 Werchter Festival (very small video from live stream)
07/07/07 Live Earth
07/08/07 T in the Park
07/20/07 BB Festival in Switzerland

...oh and From The Basement, BBC4 Session and Other Voices 2006
That's all I can think of now...

Your welcome!
Damien only performed on song 'Cold Water' at the Jonathan Ross show. Yes, the pictures is from that show. I uploaded it in my last post...
As, I said, most of my videos are at home, but I have:
Live From Abbey Road ( Volcano, Rotless Tree and 9 Crimes)
From The Basement (9 Crimes, The Blower's Daughter, Delicate and Rootless Tree)
Bonnaroo 2007 (poor quality)
Let me know if you want any of them and post them during the next days...

If you want any others, I have to ask my mom to send them to me. That will take a while...

Edit: I uploaded some videos here:

Mario - Is your operating system on that same drive? What operating system? Do you have another drive that you can install an operating system on?

Another way to work this out is to have a friend give you a Linux bootable cd such as Ubuntu, boot up with that and then use a flash drive or other usb detectable (will be detected by Ubuntu) to move the data across.

Let me know if you would like to discuss options.

Any particular torrents that need more people seeding? I'd be willing to hook my server up and help in any way.

DD, Its all on an external HD, thats what failed.

However, the computer department kids finally got to work on it and, though not salvaged yet, it looks okay.

The problem was that I suddenly couldn't access anything on the hard drive and my computer didn't even recognize that it was plugged in. They tried all different systems and stuff to no avail, but when they removed the actual drive from the enclosure and installed it in a computer as an internal drive, they had no problem reading the date.

They should be copying all the data over to the school's network this week, and Im shopping for a new external, so everything ought to be saved, but has not occurred yet.

Then, we need to find a way to make sure this doesn't ever happen.

Burn Data DVD's, (even those fail after time,) have it online somewhere, and have copies with others, pass the HD around, let others put the data on their HD ect. Can't have all your eggs in one basket.

I have all my damo and the other bands i really collect on a few internals, 2 externals, dvd's, and have passed enough copies of shows around i should be safe.

Glad you were able to salvage it though.

Agreed. I actually had just gotten a laptop with a DVD-R drive and that was the plan, but the external HD went down before I got to it.

I think its about 50-60gb (entirely audio files), though, so its not exactly easy to backup.

i've been thinking of restarting the damohub. it would be a good way to make sure we have a complete library and an easy way to create multiple backups between a few of us.

So happy to hear that it is being seen and can be backed up. PB has it right. Backup to DVD. If you are looking at 60GB of data. That's roughly 12-15 DVD's. Make a 2nd batch and send them to someone like PB who wouldn't mind holding a set in case of a disaster. Start a naming convention such as:
DR-DVD-001
DR-DVD-002 etc...

Tree these:
In an event of a meltdown - you will always have friends to
pull whatever you need from!

I'll help out with that the best i can. I have dvd's of all my damo, but they are not complete as i'm missing a few shows. I'd have to go through the list to see what i'm missing, I think it's only like 6 shows. ALso it seems like Buddy has most of em, if his/mine set was complete then there'd be 3 people with a complete set.

But yea, just burn some data dvd's and copy them every couple years and you'll be alright

i think between you, me, buddy, cali and netheredgeman we probably have all of the known archive shows if mario's can't be recovered. i think mario has the definitive list, too since he was the one tracking the live recordings and setlists for awhile, at least up until 2005.

is this a common problem with external hard drives? i just got one (been meaning to for a long time) and want to be sure my files are safe..

I have the old site files, the show archive ended in the summer of 2005. I don't have a list of recordings, but will make that as soon as I get this done. I have a new hard drive, I should be able to just go get the files copied over this week. (Im antsy because I also had my entire Itunes catalog on that drive, so I lost all the damo files plus about 50 gbs of mp3s.) UNfortunately we got a foot of snow today, so their school was closed.

If you ship me the drive - I might be able to recover it sector by sector.

Kids did it for me today, everything is good. And I should be able to get a new enclosure for the old drive and use it as a backup.

These are all fully lossless shows, either shn or flac. I also have the list from the trading site, which covered every show every known to be played. I'll get that out to you guys at some point but its an .htm file so I can't attach it. Here's what I've got, what I believe to be the most comprehensive archive out there:
