DR still doesnt have too many fans like U2,in Brasil. But I can tell u that his brazilian fans are extremely happy that he is coming and we'll do anything to see him.As u know,Brasil is a big country and many people will travel several hours to see him.I live in a place that is around 30h from Rio by bus and about 6 hours by plane. Many people lives even more long away from Rio and São Paulo but we dont mind...because this moment with DR will last forever in our minds and heart.

Thanks for wellcome me.

love and light

Cool

welcome to the igloo...you are in for a treat when the crew visits brazil...i mentioned to gustavo that i have introduced several transplanted brazilians now living in new york to the music of damien and they all invariably love it. must say i am impressed by the musical taste of my brazilian pals!

couldn't agree more. the brazilian version misses the point. they sing it in a breezy happy way. they don't get that the singer is actually a bit miserable, a bit obsessed and in the end recognizes that all this so-called emotion is just passing anyway "until i find someone new."

and kisses to you amie r!

I think who likes this versions its because dont even knows who damien is.He is a bit miserable and depressed,he write and sing with intensity...only who feels like this can undertsand DR.It happens often in Brasil. Some musicians take amazing songs, like The blowers daughter and make versions that just make fans even angry.I felt bad when I heard this versions.Actually I dont hear much brazilain music.I love Bosssa nova(LIke águas de março and desafinado, goldfish memory soundtrack),caetano veloso, chico buarque, maria bethania(amazing voice) and Adriana Calcanhoto, nothing else.

Kisses back!!!

didn't we use to have a snogging thread? Not as poetic, but I think I speak on many eskiom's behalf when I say it filled a void.

Oh, that's great... A brazilian invasion!!!
Who could imagine that?
I would invite you to go to "Damien Rice Brasil" in orkut if you could speak portuguese...

May, Felipe, Amie (what's your name?)
Welcome, and let's make this forum more fun. Afinal de contas, we are the country of carnival!

I dont like this "country of carnival"definition...thats why many people around the world thinks we have football and carnival only...even we have many prob Brazil is more than that.
But anyway my name is karla. And the "invasion" get started!
hehehehe
