Yep I figured as much daol, and am pleased just to be able to connect and download at whatever rate at all... I still get those fall off your chair moments when the computer manages to connect hehe hopefully we'll find a way of relieving pressure off of marios server so more people can snag these files. I checked out our connection at work today, and even though it's a business connection as such it still does not have a static IP

Smithy, ye might want to have a look at 'TYPSoft FTP server' - It's a small server program that runs on your local machine and generates a static IP address I think. I use it in work to copy stuff off a machine sometimes instead of going through network neighbourhood.

If finally figured out how to get past the proxy in my college, now all i have to do is get onto marios ftp. I downloaded the film S.W.A.T in 20 mins from DC++, and got a file 0f 750MB from another ftp using the connection here in college at 2150KB/s!! I nearly fainted!! So if i can get onto Marios i should be able to get everything in one sitting!!

How do we find each other? We would need to be in the same hub wouldnt we? Im in college and the firewall is controlled by the college, so i cant do anything about it.

Just keep on trying, Mario has limited access so only 4 people can log on at a time, this ensures that each person gets a nice speed out of it each, and leaves enough bandwidth so he can still use his connection, is why I said I almost fell of my chair the first time I managed to connect lol
