Has anyone listened to the tracks much on www.joeallen.cjb.net , he posted all the details on here a few weeks back ? Just saw a posting about him on the official damo site and have gone back for another listen, i think he has an beautiful voice [img]smileys/smiley1.gif[/img], I want to try and get to one of his live gigs, whats everyone else think? |

Yea, I liked his stuff a lot, get him in a studio with a full band and he will go places. Liked his Website a lot too, love the illustrations, very Damien Ricey as you say.

Yeah I can imagine, its one of those catch 22 things though, what I like is the simplicity ( well I think thats what I like ! ) of just him and a guitar, not sure if I want to hear him with the full works, but you probably right and it would be fantastic. i think from his site that on some gigs there is a band with him, on the pics there is a girl singer and a I think it was a gutarist. he needs to play some other places, all his gigs are in his area, but may be its hard to get gigs where people don't know you |

You can keep the simplicity with a band, look at Damo... nothing compares to his live performances, but on the album it's about light and shade. He's quite young isn't he? Joe I mean.

hello! well, still giggin near to home but desp. looking for more venues to play so any ideasof anywhere any of you live would be great. hoping to viisit ireland in january and at the moment am still looking for venues there. im in the regional finals of a uk compeition at the moment too. |

yeah, and im proud to say, i was (eh, i still am!!) really good mates with joe. i think he's the best!! yes, he has got an amazing voice, and he's is a cutey, and he's such a lovely bloke an' all!!
