That's so sweet, Kristin. I mentioned it a bit before, but Damien Rice fans from this forum are seriously the sweetest I've ever met, and I go to a ton of shows. I'm glad your sister had such a good time and that we all had these wonderful opportunities!

Sorry, I don't know how to embed, but here is a link to the sneak peek:
http://artistsden.com/damienrice I will be mortified if I'm on screen at all when this airs. I had to stop myself from mouthing the words at times...especially to Woman Like A Man (my family does NOT need to see me singing along with those lyrics)! |

If you have the Milk Video app (Samsung Devices only) and follow Artist Den you can watch An 11 minute preview and his performance of Delicate and Greatest Bastard.
Here is the link to the app https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...milk.milkvideo You can see in the description what devices it works on. Last edited by madhat181; 01-19-2015 at 03:16 AM. |

Wall Street Journal did a nice little write up about the performance and supposedly has video for "My Favourite Faded Fantasy." I'm at work, so I can't watch anyway, but I've had the page open in the background for a few moments and it seems to be stuck on "Loading." Hope they fix it soon or it works for everyone else!

Is it still not working for you?
I'll try to rip it later today if I figure out how to (I'm at work now). It's beautiful. I didn't expect to love it as much as I did. (it's not really my favourite song, and I haven't been listening to damien's music as much as I used to, but this is so raw, honest and emotional, truly touching) |

I did get it to work, thank you though. I checked the writer's twitter, and he said he was having trouble with it at the same time. It was a very strange night. Very intense musically, even when you could tell Damien was uncomfortable. I hope someone can rip the whole performance once it airs.

Aw, they cut Woman Like A Man, 9 Crimes, Back To Her Man, The Box, Colour Me In, and Cheers Darlin'!

Not surprised about some of those due to the profanity, but I'm sad they didn't do 9 Crimes or The Box! So how much of us did you witness? I imagine it's loads of Kristin!

I figured Woman Like A Man would be cut, but disappointed nonetheless. And both Colour Me In and The Box were sorely missed...I love those 2 songs! I spoke with my Mom after the show aired, and she was SO impressed with Damien; she was going on and on about how amazing he is! She also remembered me saying that he seemed a bit off the night it was filmed, and she said she couldn't imagine him being more intense (so Sarah emailed her the link to her youtube videos from the 3 NYC concerts last October). I always find it amusing when an artist can have multigenerational appeal: my daughter is 22, I'm 42, and my Mom is 66!
Kristin (and her sister Kim), Scott, his fiancé Maria, and Will made many appearances on screen, while Casey, Mike, and I were shown less. I recorded it to my DVR, but have NO idea if it's even possible to share it with anyone- sorry! I'm sure it will be up on their web site soon? |
