Default Hardback book packaging for "O"

Hi

I am in the process of recording an album, and I'd like to package it in the kind of hardback book way - i.e. same way that Damien Rice packaged "O", or Blur packaged "Think Tank". Do you know anything about how he did it, or who produced the original CDs, or even have you ever seen this packaging anywhere else?

Google hasn't really helped in this instance, so any ideas you may have are greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Chris

You're looking at either making them yourself, or trying to find a production firm that will do them for you at a reasonable price. You could email DRM and ask them...

He used a company that binds actual books to do the albums. Kevin May from Guggenheim Grotto also used them for their album. I don't know the name offhand...

Pearl Jam also recently did this type of CD case for their self-titled album, but only the versions that were pre-ordered on their website came with this awesome packaging.

David Gilmour's latest release, On An Island, is in the greatest packaging I have ever seen for a CD. It's book form is just beautiful, stunning. The only one that comes close is Pink Floyd's Pulse CD.

I'd look in to see how he got his done, it is amazing (not just the album, the book! It's a work of art!).
