Default still a chance for Stone

you remember that Damo song called Stone?
He just played it once at the end of the 9 tour, and never again. But it was a full-fleshed song with cello parts and everything.

Well, yesterday both Phil and Joel posted IG stories about the album recordings in Iceland and you could hear that they were recording Stone with Gyda playing the cello parts instead of Vyv though

really hope Stone makes it, beautiful song

It's one of the 4/5 newies he played during the 9 tour and then he abandoned and never did again like Beast and Beauty or You Shouldn't be Here

but it's good that Damo never throws anything away

at his usual speed, all the new songs he did this summer will be in his album for 2048

Except that, thankfully, he's played both of those others a few times since the 9 tour.

I disagree about this one. Doesn't feel finished at all despite the cello part and it's always been far too repetitious and sing-songy for my tastes. Could desperately use a bridge and chorus to break the monotony.

^hahaha thats funny cos I searched the original thread from 12 years ago and while some claimed the song was unfinished, you claimed it was 100% finished

Actually, no. They were talking about how it needed more verses and I was saying that there were enough lyrics for him to have said what he needed to without adding any additional ones. I've never disliked the words in the song and still don't. My problem with it rests solely in the music itself being too limited and monotonous.
