they really could have gotten a few more decent acts to play at it tho. that american band were one of the worst live acts ive ever had to endure.
Yeah, I was sitting up on the balcony I totally wanted to throw something at him too. I guess it wouldn't have been in the anti-war spirit of things tho (hmm, protests next wkend mightn't be either). What did he expect to have a debate about it or something... i'm all for debates, but there's a time and a place. To make things worse, his mobile phone rang during the next song.

Speaking of which, that song was great. It was a Billie Holiday song called Strange Fruit. Can't remember who sang it last night, but it was really beautiful.

it was great the way they brought the lights up as soon as the idiot started talking. i felt she should of answered him tho. she just kinda blew it off

Halliburton Corporation (i think).

They were on Marianne Finucanne (sp?) the other morning with Christy Moore. Christy was talking about the WBCTS gig, and then he heard their song being played on the show and asked them if they'd like to play at the gig.

The violinist (Zoe Conway) who played solo during Damo's set was deadly too.

Damo did quite a few Christy Moore Songs. Black Is The Colour and Lonely Soldier (although Damo did help him!)

I was at the gig in Vicar St. last night too and have to say I really
enjoyed it. Gavin Moore was really good, unexpectidly I must admit but
I thought he was great. I thought The Chapters were really good
too-will be listening out for them in future.

But the definate highlight was Damien, after all it was the reason I
went! Was a bit disappointed that he didn't play for longer but The
Blower's Daughter made up for it all-all I can say is WOW! I have to
agree with previous comments on Lisa-I really didn't think her voice
sounded it's best singing in such a low range!

Can't wait for my next Damo live experience!
