My new acoustic guitar [2 pics]
Ok, so two weeks ago i bought this new guitar, Silverhead (after 3 years with classic guitar), and it sounds really great and here's some two pictures of it:

Nice. What kind of strings are you using?
Are you really from Israel? My mum is from Jerusalem.

I would recommend Martin SP Marquis (Phospor Bronze).
I've only been playing on Martin strings for about 2 months, and I love them. Before I had always used Ernie Ball, which aren't bad, but pale in comparison with Martin.

the greatest strings ever!!!! i use mediums cause they give me a wonderful full tone and great bass. light strings just don't produce the bass i like, but if you like light strings... non the less... get elixir nanoweb strings!!!!

Nice guitar man. Martins are the best strings for acoustics. I'm married to them, and I'll never cheat.

Dunno man, if you want to name it, it has to be something that means a lot to you. I named mine after my lab.

After reading this thread I guess I should try Martin strings.
Isn't Elixir those strings with a silicon wrapping to make them last longer? If so I tried them once and I did not like them at all. No crispyness left. But I'm very satisfied with the sound I get from D'Addario's Phospor Bronze on my Landola. I use the custom light (EJ26). I think different guitars = different strings, but if you go from one size to another you most likely have to adjust your guitarneck, too. Mine is very "stable" when it comes to staying in tune, but one time I changed strings it just wasn't the same. I got wrong sized strings. Changed back to original - problem solved. |
