this week has been so crap for me. 52% on a spanish test. parent
teacher meetings next tuesday. it's not like i'm in serious trouble in
school, but i'm worried. i made a major mistake by introducing my
friends to good music in first and second year, now i feel like
everything i have that's a trademark of me is being stolen and soon i
won't have anything of myself to hold on to. i'm probably being really
petty and i should just get over myself but i can't. i can't believe
what a totally awful week i've been having and i just want to cry, not
out of sadness but out of anger and frustration. i want to punch a good
few people in the face too.

sorry about that, i really had to get it out and any feedback would be greatly appreciated..

Livo we've all gone through that teenage identity-crisis stuff etc.. and it will come and go and come and go a thousand times before you hit college and all of a sudden you meet people who's personalities have finally stabalised, yours included. Only then will your personality really grow.

Right now your personality and inner feelings are like a young baby - they will want one thing one minute and something totally different the next minute and then they'll want everything and then nothing and then they won't know what they want. They'll throw tantrums and cry and then laugh a few hours later and then cry again and laugh again. And just like a young baby you just have to deal with your personality and look after it because once it grows up its totally worth it.

Oh and dont worry bout the parent teacher meetings. In another few years they wont matter a damn to anyone.

peoples personalities are stableised by the time they go to college?! are you sure about that? maybe its just people in the performing industry. we're all emotional f**kheads! i dont think most people like me will ever have stable personas... ever. we have too much to worry about!

parent-teacher meanings mean f**k all! god, you will realise that in a few years, i'd love to be back at school worrying about parent teacher meetings, and don't worry too much about identities either, they'll all change over the years, just chill out, pick what feels best and wha you love when it comes to the music you listen to, the films you watch, the clothes you wear etc and don't worry about other people

Livo I reckon everyone can relate to how you're feeling, I think we've all felt that way at some stage or other. But it will pass. Really it will, I promise.

Worst case scenario, your teachers will give out about you, your parents will give out to you, and you'll feel crappy for a few days. But it will pass. And in a couple of weeks it will be forgotten. And thats the WORST case.

As for the whole identity thing-I felt the exact same way at one stage, but sooner or later you realise that no one can take the things that make you you away. They're yours and yours alone. Even if you have someone trying to be your evil twin and doing all the same things as you they won't feel the same way or look at things the same way you do. Its up to you whether you let other's actions dictate how you feel about things.

And it will pass.

I promise.

ok any feedback you said...

first...the music isnt yours. it isnt you. it is simply something you love, enjoy. friendship is about sharing ....you and the things you love. you sound like you are complaining that your friends have ...gasp!...taken an interest in something you love. so i would say yes you need to get over yourself because you do sound petty.

second...if this is a horrible week for you , you might want to look around the globe at the bs that goes on and consider yourself quite lucky. and be prepared, life will get a lot tougher and if this makes you want to squash people, we will be reading about you in the papers after life does get tougher.

third... its good to get out these irrational thoughts of anger and frustration. and a place like this is much better than doing so in a manner such as columbine.

fourth....i hope you take this in the spirit it is given. lighthearted, yet honest advice.

fifth...study your spanish, youll never be able to live in california without it.

lol i aint grown up, far from it,probably not much older than you, i just never bothered too much with the whole school thingy, i mean, 52% on a test, that's a pass right?? then f**k it, it could be a sh*te sight worse, you could have a learning disability and not even be able to do a test. your friends copy your style?? once again, friends are under-rated, be thankfulyou have friends who respect your opinion enough to imitate you or take your advice on music, it's all gravy

Theres so many things that we take for granted , and then worry about the little tiny ones-- yep it's really annoying, trying to tell yourself that it doesnt matter its only a little thing- and in the big picture---- u cant even see it!!

That's life i s'pose, but there are so many things that we should b grateful for--- i'm not gonna start preaching
