No, i haven't recieved it either. I've got tickets to see him at Manchester Appollo in March, but promised to get some tickets for my parents - never to old....! What venue are you interested in? Sounds like he might play some venues in Ireland. Would love to see him at a smaller venue, heard Vicar Street is good for this. Fingers crossed. Good luckl......

I'm hopiong to take my mum to plymouth - she's really keen to see him but I'm going with about 8 friends to the Hammersmith one Would really like tickets to this one though because I'd like her to get to him.

Good luck for you too!

Yeah, no email for me either. I'm hoping to go with some friends to Wembley, but actually... come to think of it, i don't think i will.... hmm, perhaps a bit late to be contemplating it.
Well, i'm going to the Hammersmith gig anyway with my sister and my dad who hasn't heard a lot of Damien - it's mainly my sister and i that want to go really, but my dad has liked what he's heard of him, so why not i suppose. It shouldn't be too embarressing if others are bringing their folks...

why do they always say they'll do things at a certain time and then never ever do it?

If the pre-sale starts tomorrow morning like, it's going to be a close call.

I have tried remembering the url to previous pre-sales on gigsandtours, the usual place that does them apart from Ticketshafter.

It's sommat like www.gigsandtours.com/gtz/ or http://www.seetickets.com/2gtz/

The seetickets one is right, it gives me mcfly and muse, but no Damien
ho hum. I'm annoyed.

The website is just so unfrickin' reliable. (dr.com not seetickets.)
Not sure what to do now.

I might go on strike or something. Stage a forumnal sit in. It will be a lonely campaign....

It's just rubbish isn't it. Though perhaps they're delaying giving the link out so it doesn't get sold on e-bay and passed around?

perhaps yeah.
it just annoys me so much how often this happens with them - if they say one date, they need to stick to it. it wouldn't bother me if it was just once in a while, but it's literally with everything they ever say. I mean even the website launch was delayed and delayed until it finally materialised about a month and a half later - and the new stock in the shop - and is the message board even running yet? It's just ridiculous - who runs it?!

I really hope the email is through by 9 tomorrow.
I'll join your strike! hehe

I totally agree!

Though, in fairness, the last pre-sale went ok and happened on time and that. I was surprised

As long as it arrives at some point tomorrow - and everyone gets it so we don't get into a situation where the touts get their hands on the tickets before we do - then all will not be lost

I can see it not arriving at all though, and having to join the oh so annoying frantic server crashing scramble at 9am on Friday. I really hate that.

"Service Unavailable : Too Busy"

How maddening!

And Derren is, as they say, "the man"!

Ah yeah you're right - the presale for the March dates was A-ok. Well I guess we play the waiting game. but in the mean time, i found these:

http://www.ents24.com/web/artist/40649/Damien_Rice.html
but no presale - says tickets on friday - but then, it may do if the presale is 'secret'...

also here:

http://www.ticketmaster.co.uk/artist...ink=tm_home_h2

same thing again.

This is interesting:

You going to see derren this year?

I found this forum trying to find the pre-sale linked promised in the e-mail a few days ago, but found out that no-one has it yet so feel a little better. As no one has it yet, this item on eBay must be complete crap so: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/DAMIEN-RICE-TI...QQcmdZViewItem

As for the pre-sale link, based on an Ash pre-sale link I got last week, the Damien Rice one should be this: http://www.seetickets.com/sjmmaj/ind...te=damien+rice which shows the gigs in October, but only says they're on sale Friday, not tomorrow for pre-sale.

Browsing the A-Z of artists gives this link for Damien: http://www.seetickets.com/sjmmaj/eve...1=gigsandtours
but you'll notice that it only lists the gigs for the next tour.

Interesting eh?

Yep! May aswell, at plymouth. 4th row!
I saw his last tour and it was phenominal! I don't know if you saw it, but I was on stage in the part where he showed the video with subliminal messages then knew my seat number etc etc...
Bloody terrifying stuff! (He's also such a lovely chap in person, really friendly and polite. He signed my programme with - 'To my fiancee Hollie, Thanks for being such a star, Love Derren x' - it made me immensely happy!)

I think that seller might have some explaining to do if the mail doesn't get sent out!

No doubt he or she is checking here religiously too. Hello!

I've met him a few times now and yeah, I agree totally, he's a really nice, genuine bloke. One you get past that nodding tic he has

I did see the last tour. I didn't go up on stage however. The monkey missed me. I did enjoy the little wink to the camera that you saw at the end, when it was all revealed.

Very clever stuff

I'm going to one of the Manchester dates and am in row 5 or 6 from the front, so not too bad!

No problem. I'm all about pre-sales and letting real fans get tickets without having to buy off touts.

(Can we keep it on topic though. This is about Damien not Derren!)

I'd say they're sending the email out at the last minute to prevent the sort of thing like that guy selling the link on eBay.
