Default After show in Chicago got some info

First he was ridiculously nice and hung out for 30+ minutes in the cold. Talked to everyone and asked everyone's name and shook their hands. So cool to see a rock star who cares about who his fans are as people not just fans.

Info:

Said the recording is going great and still has the fire.

Asked if there is a possibility of a full live album and he said he hadn't thought about it but it was a great idea so maybe.

He said they are pressing O and 9 for vinyl. He wants to do all the albums on vinyl. O first. He's listened to a few pressings but it is a bit difficult to get high enough quality since it was recorded on the home studio. They are trying to master it now. Loves vinyl. This will happen.

Favorite hockey team is the Blackhawks ; )

Asked if we liked trusty better with everyone singing like at the atheneum or like tonight with the harmonium. Split decision. Said it was the first time he played creep in a long time.

Was surprised I knew No One Need Know. Didn't know it made it to YouTube. Promised to play it next time he's in town.

Laughed at the similarity to the title of Kanye West's album. He never heard of it. Doesn't listen to rap.

Looking forward to Red Rocks. Said its all downhill from there jokingly.

Bummed a cigarette and we all had a smoke.

Went into the bus and grabbed a guitar after we begged him to sing. Sang Front Door and Amie.

I apologize for my singing and the vertical vid my brain was freaking out. I think you hear more of me than him during Amie.

Damo has some memory issues, in Philly he said himself that it would be a great idea to do a live album and include all the rare songs when I asked about Insane

what did he say about No One Need Know? did he said it had been recorded/abandoned?

"broken choice that i broke some more"... heartbreaking alright

God wouldn't it be great if we got that?!

He didn't say either way but the way he turned around and asked "how have you heard that?" Maked me think it is still on the table. Maybe on the next album. Or a b-sides to Fantasy.

I think I'm most pumped for O on vinyl.

Thank you so much Shillelagh for posting your review and vids.
the "Read me" line on "Amie" killed me once again and honestly I love how all your back voices sound, just perfect, like a second heart beating the mesure! Great moment of shared music!
And btw I've got the same hair as Damien when I wake up on morning , that made me laugh outloud just before trying not to cry!

Wow, thank you so much for sharing! He's such a cool person. I'm glad his fire is still there. I remember thinking about the third album for years. Playing with titles or trying to guess if any released songs would appear, etc. It's amazing to me that at this point, he's released a third AND working on a fourth. So great. And VINYL! Man, that's too awesome. I really like that he talked about the technical sound side of O, too. Very cool.

wow. front door is my absolutely favourite song and i really wanted to ask him about it after the show in montreal but i figured he wouldn't know what i was talking about and i got shy. i'm so incredibly jealous but so grateful for the videos.

vinyl and a live album would be amazing!

He has been so nice after shows. I don't usually wait around for anyone, but is this common for performers to do? He's very generous.

Wow, so cool that he sang for you guys! I didn't even think to ask him to sing for us. Of course, I couldn't THINK at all when I saw him. Haha.
