Default Lisa part of civil marriage movie

Came across this today:

Civil marriage short released as a viral
25.08.2009

MarriagEquality, the initiative working for civil marriage for gay and lesbian people, has today released the short film, Sinead’s Hand, as viral.

Produced by Coco Television, the film stars actor Hugh O’Connor, features music from Mercury Prize nominee Lisa Hannigan, and was premiered at GAZE, the Dublin Gay and Lesbian Film Festival earlier this month.

“The campaign to extend civil marriage rights to lesbian and gay couples has gained huge support and momentum over the past year,” said Moninne Griffith, director, MarriagEquality. “More and more people realise that the denial of marriage rights to this section of society is discriminatory and must end.

“MarriagEquality is delighted that Coco Television felt so strongly about the issue that they produced this incredible and insightful movie to raise awareness for the campaign.”

The movie's up on youtube:

Great thing to be a part of, if you ask me.

Absolutely brilliant!!! We're fighting the the good fight in California as well. For some reason I thought gay marriage was legal in all European countries but that was probably just a silly assumption. Anyway, well done Lisa!
