I'm not sure what time we'll be able to get there, it all depends on when my husband can get home from work. Hope to catch up with some Eskimos!

I have never been to fado Irish pub. I'm just looking to go wherever to drink/hang out with some other fans. Post where you all go if end up somewhere.

Fado is a chain but they bring real bars over from Ireland and rebuild them here in the states.
There is one in Chicago and is great for soccer games and Irish grub and pints. |

Maybe it's required to go to an Irish bar before/after a Damien concert. But I was thinking I'd stop by the good dog bar. I've heard good things about it and it's pretty close to the venue.

Looks like there was a drop... there is currently a front row seat available, row AAA, seat 103. If anyone's still looking, go get it

My Bubba & Mi were lovely. A pretty pair of ladies with lovely voices. They said Damien sent them a text that he was going to miss their set because he was in the bath. Apparently they met him in a pool in Iceland.

It was a gorgeous show! I'm so happy and thankful I could go. Damien was amazing as always. Spectacular set list. We all enjoyed Damien's music and humor. A night to remember.

Enjoyed the show and the amazing seats I got in his website presale. He wasn't as talkative as in the past (first time seeing him this tour) but seemed in a fine mood.
For me the highlights were: It Takes a Lot - the live electric version > > > the album version 9 Crimes - I thought seeing it on piano in 2007 after Lisa left was the most intense I'd ever see this song. I was wrong. This was the best. Wooden Horse - I thought I knew every obscure DR song. Guess I was wrong. Long Long Way-->Cold Water - the transition from harmonium to guitar worked great (I had read it didn't at the last show) and from LLW to Cold Water was beautiful (they are pretty much the same song, after all). Perfect way to end the show. Additional thoughts: When someone in the front row requested What If I'm Wrong and I echoed it from the other side of the row, Damien commented "2nd time that's been requested this tour" but then didn't play it. Seeing it at the Box last fall is a top 5 Damien moment for me. After what I read here about the NYC and Boston crowds not being super respectful, Philly was great - complete silence during the songs. Hoping I articulate this ok, and it's far from exclusive to Damien, but both times I've seen him in the past year, it seems pretty clear which older songs he still feels, and which he's just going through the motions. Tonight he seemed really into 9 Crimes, Elephant, and Cold Water, while Delicate, Cannonball, and I Remember felt in the "eh, guess I gotta play these ones" category. I've seen this with other performers too with songs over 10 years old...dunno, maybe it's just me and my skewed perspective. https://instagram.com/p/1PYANZimlL/ |

The venue was absolutely beautiful! Even Damien was taken aback by it for most of the night.
