The Full (all but 2 words) lyrics for Damo's new song
Well you can hold her hand
And show her how you cry. Explain to her your weaknesss So she understands. And then roll over and die! Well you can brave decisions Before you crumble up inside. Spend your life asking Everyone else's permission. And then run away and hide! Well you can sit on chimneys And put some fire up your ass. You don't even know what you're Doing or waiting for? But if anyone should ask... Tell them I've been ? (cooped in, cooking) Cold ___ner? skins That keep it hanging out Tell them God's just dropped by To forgive my sins And relieve us our doubt. You can hold her eggs 'Cause her basket has a hole. You can lie between her legs And go looking for... Tell her you're searching for your soul! Well you can wait for ages And watch your compost Turn to coal But time is contagious. Everybody's getting old! So you can sit on chimneys And put some fire up your ass You don't even know what you're Doing or waiting for? But if anyone should ask... Tell them I've been ? (cooped in, cooking) Cold ____ner skins That keep it hanging out Just tell them God dropped by To forgive all sins And relieve us our doubt.

Spamlet! If you've transcribed the lyrics, does that mean you've got a copy of the song? The first time I knew this song existed was when my sister and I saw Damien performing it at the Palladium gig in London last June. I tried to find out more about it but just ended up down a series of dead ends. If you have a copy, I would be immensely grateful if you would consider sharing it with me...

I've never heard about this song before.
Are there any rumours that it will make its way onto his new album?

Niko,
Yes, It's from the recording of the Palladium gig and was sent to me in order for me to transcribe the lyrics. This is definite second album angry material in the vein of Rootless, Fool, Didn't Take Long and BD2. I just heard it for the first time yesterday. It's very Dylanesque (in fact the guitar in it reminds me greatly of a song I wrote 10 years ago called "Dylansong" about Bob which probably means I can't play that anymore now lol). Most of the lyrics were a cakewalk and delivered crystal clear except for the 3 lines in question which is where he suddenly gets very savage in his delivery. I've already spent about 6 straight hours with just the vocal part isolated and slowed them down/ sped them up at highest volume through headphones and am still unable to say yet for sure what two of the words are in that section! I have enormous patience and usually love the challenge but honestly nearly went crazy from that this time. I'll keep trying but must resort now to plan b style analysis. Usually taking a break works wonders so that you come at it with fresh ears. I realized today after I posted that I will have to use systematic logic to isolate and eliminate all possible letter combinations to build the last words I'm missing: for example I figured out that "cold _skins" can't possibly be preceded by "cooked in" even though it sounds like there's a definite "d" in the middle of the word. So I need to return to my original second choice "cooking" which fits well between the fire of the chimneys and the cold ____ skins. However, It really still sounds exactly like he's saying "cooped in" which, though it changes the idea, fits much more with the climactic frustration he's getting out in that section (reflected in the attack) so it's just a matter of figuring out the ensuing line with that one in mind. And I will. So stay tuned!

All Dressed Up:
Im assuming you are from England Or Ireland! So, if you ask Ian (Closing Doors), im sure he will send you one! then you can send one on to someone else that wants it? Cali: I will send one to Ireland (Ian), and one to America (Cali). And if you two would accept one copy from another person, and then they do the same? Im not sure if im doing this right?

Ah sorry guys,
Wasn't ignoring you or being rude: this is the first time I've been able to post for almost a week. Glad Beevers replied, though, since he was the one who let me hear it. I'd love to hear it FLAC style to see if it's clearer since I'm still having lots of difficulty discerning those two words on the mp3 version...
