That is funny! Mom's rock! Hey SimonWales-- you're from Swansea? Have a friend here in the states that grew up in Mumbles. Welsh accents are just as dreamy as Irish ones imo. He had me watch "Twin Town" with Rhys Ifans to see the town he grew up in. What a hilarious movie! Welsh humor is in it's own catgeory methinks!

Port Talbot. 7miles from Swansea. Although Twin Town was set in Swansea, most of it was filmed in my town... Was a great few weeks! The hearse being stolen and zooming up the road past my girlfriend's house, the big exploding caravan (trailer), the mysterious hot-dog van on the mountainside (left the locals wondering why they were selling hot-dogs on the mountain)...

Spend lots of time watching them filming. Got to stroke the dog-star of the film!

It was supposed to be called Hot Dog originally (after the dog who escapes the fire) but they changed it to Twin Town because they thought Americans might get confused by the title and think it had something to do with ski-jumping?! (well, that's what the South Wales Evening Post reported anyway....)

Where in US are you?

I'm in Iowa, the "heartland" of the USA. The little Welsh Corgi stole the show in that one! Must have been a blast there while they were filming!

my mum's like that too. whenever i put on a cd or song on the tv, i
always get her to guess who's who. she's flawless on the frames and
radiohead and idlewild, but she always mixes up franz ferdinand and the
strokes.

And when I hear someone say "chicken fried steak," water polo immediately comes to mindEdited by: cneill
