Default Lisa singing Couldn't Love You More

On MBE this morning Nic Harcourt played Lisa Hannigan signing that John Martyn song she did on tour back in 2004. It sounded like a studio recording, but I don't recall ever hearing about this being recorded. Of course, I also ate something funny yesterday and am a little loopy, so I could just be forgetting. Anyone heard it? Know where it comes from?

Hey Beevers, is it a studio version? I know there are tons of live versions out there, but this was as tudio recording (or at least it sounded like it). Nic Harcourt just said it was a "forthcoming track from Faultline" which means absolutely nothing to me.

Oh, most excellent. Here is Faultline's web site. Faultline is the moniker under which David Kosten records (producer of Ben Christophers, Jacob Golden). You can listen to his last album on the web site - it plays in the background.

Joseph Arthur (see my Avatar) recorded a cover of 'White Horses' for that album.

P.S. The web site is for the last release.

Is that the same Faultline who covered Goodbye Yellow Brick Road with Keane on the latest War Child album? I always wondered who Faultline was/is, but being far lazier than is good for me, I never really found the motivation to look into it with any degree of energy...

I don't have that particular War Child album, but from what I heard yes, same Faultline. They originally recorded the song for inclusion in above mentioned album, but then it ended up on War Child.

In related news John Martyn is playing vicar street on may 17th. I got 'Couldn't Love You More', i managed to get rid of that volume dropoff about a minute and a half into it too. Drop me a line if anyone wants it.

It might have started when they both were in the studio doing the "Help" day of recording and releasing of music over the internet...

yeah you're probably right, that sounds most likely...

the song is kind of surreal in it's production and lisa is using her deeper bluesy voice.. i really like it!
