It will be release, they just haven't released the date yet. I'd imagine November/December in the US.

They announced a date, can't remember but it's some time in December in the US.

Ahh I just listened to part of it- this concert was amazing! Is there anyway to get an mp3 of it so I don't need to be at the computer to listen?

I finally saw this film yesterday. It was so wonderful. I'm also seeing the Swell Season next month on their tour.

I'm seeing the movie (and Glen with Markéta) next Saturday. I'm really looking forward to it as it has got so many wonderful reviews!
Glen and Mara should also come after the movie to answer our questions. No idea what I could ask them about. lol

^Do you have the ugly habit of dubbing films over there? I'm seriously thinking about heading over to the CR to see the film in a cinema, there's no chance of it being screened here and your country is the closest thing now.

you can get all the info on Once on www.myspace.com/oncethemovie

also for those who compared Glen to Damo..pls note Glen started to busk on Grafton Street when Damo was just picking up the guitar and he is famous for his angry songs...so i can't even think of comparing him to Damo..
he has a different style of songwriting and a totaly different personality. Also as for the Damien-Lisa comparison...lots of people don't know that a girl, called Noreen was a part of the original set-up of The Frames back when they started in the very early 90's..so i cud say Damo nicked the 'female in the band idea' from Glen himself..

Damien co-wrote Leave & When Ur Minds Made Up with Glen. He is credited on both the soundtrack and The Swell Season album, not as co-writer of the songs though. I think he only helped much in shaping the sound of the songs cos the lyrics are very Glen-like...

the release of the DVD in the U.S. is now the 18th of Dec. Ireland will be after New Year along with the rest of Europe due to the fact that Glen n Mar are still promoting the movie in European countries in the next three months

No, not really. When you buy DVD the movie is usually with czech dubbing but when you go to the cinema it's in english ( / original sound) with czech subtitles. So if you're serious don't hesitate and try to come.

For me, Glen seems far more sympathetic, as a person, a kind of "singer-songwriter next door"

Also, was this Noreen the girl whose grandmother died on a day when she was recording with the Frames when she ought to have been looking after her grandma (sorry about the repetitions, but I couldn't rephrase the sentence properly)? I heard this story in an interview with Glen, but forgot where and which album was it about.

Its really good to hear. I'd love to see it in cinema, the proper way, and if the Czech Republic is the closest, I'll head there (I also have a weak spot for your country, seriously)

I found both Damien and Glen very nice people but on the other hand u have to be aware that when they are talking to fans they are being their polite themselves keeping the distance which is totaly understandable when there is a hord of peeps wanting to chit chat to ya...i know Glen better and he is a very chatty, funny person and really tries to listen to everyone and answer questions..he also has a genuine curiosity for people who come up with an interesting subject or truly are interesting characters not just the usual 'how is it going, i love your s**t' talkers and he would engage with these people in a very honest way, not just as a fan-artist level.

i think he is more approachable than Damien in many ways and has a brilliant memory to remember faces and conversations and he will tell it to your face whatever he thinks and will do appreciate the good things he gets from peeps..he really wears his heart out on his sleeve and fair play for him to do that ..also that is the reason lots of people hates him but as they say u can't make everyone happy, can you?

as for the girl and the dead grandma..no it is not Noreen it is Rachel Grimes.her grandma indeed died when they were recording 'In The Deep Shade' for the album For The Birds in Chicago. She has left home to do the session with the band and her grandma died and she couldn't be there with her so all her feelings and grief were reflected in the song which she co-wrote and got to name after all.

Rai, Glen and Mar are playing in Prague after the premier of Once on the 20th of October...think it is sold out though but try it you might get lucky...

The concert is really good!! I wish I could see them live! Does anyone know if the movie is coming out in Germany?? I want to see it again! I saw it on the plain when I came back from America, it was so good that I watched it twice!!!

ok... WOW!!!!!!!! so i recently bumped into an old friend and when she said she wanted to go see "Once" i was like "get ur jacket! lets go!" and woooooiiii! i can't believe i waited so long to see it!!! it's an amazing movie.. i've heard the songs hundreds of times.. it took a little bit away from it but not enough to blow me away.. hehe.... I mean WOW!!! and... COME ON!!!! lol... i won't spoil anything so i'll stop there...

but i have to say.. i loooove his music and i always think.. why can't artists make music video's of them and a real life related experience... or just them in a town singing.. like they often were... like in the music store... that was awweesome! i loved it!

amazing movie... i want to see another one.. they can call it "twice". goood that was good. 5 stars from me!

Yes, it's sold out. But I've heard they will do another show this Sunday because of the huge amount of people interested in going to see Glen & Markéta.

I'm so looking forward to the movie/concert tomorrow!
