Damien and the band on KCRW Friday
Damien and the band are scheduled to do a live session on Morning Becomes Eclectic on KCRW this Friday, November 10th. The live sessions usually start around 11 am PST and you can listen to the simulcast at kcrw.com or kcrwmusic.com
If there are any Damien-related giveaways, they'll probably be at the end of the show that day

You can stream KCRW on your computer too, but you have to have Quicktime which can be a pain in the butt. Quicktime causes all kinds of hell with my system, I don't know why. But anyway, if you have it, and it works ok with your system, you can listen to KCRW on your computer no problem.

I'm pretty sure real player works there too. It has for me before. This is awesome news. Whenever they play MBE it's always extremely memorable. Look for them to play rare stuff/covers!!!

You can stream it on the windows media player, too. Never had any problems with it.
Yes, you have to pay to subscribe. You can subscribe on the website, too. Members are eligible for ticket giveaways, etc. four times a year. I think that I'll be about 1 week shy of being eligible because I won something mid-august. darn.

Actually, I've had endless problems with media player. Maybe it's my system.
But the current broadcasts, when I click on them, don't even give me an option for media player, just quicktime and real player (forgot that one). But I don't have real player, only media player. I tried downloading quicktime and it really screwed with my computer, I had to delete it. I can listen to the older broadcasts with media player but not to anything recent - say from the last month on. Early October I can use media player, from mid October on, nothing.

I missed half of it because I forgot! But it will be available online and hopefully just Damo's performance will be available as a podcast sometime soon.
He didn't want to talk about the new album, and couldn't say anything about a bigger tour except that they're thinking of starting it early next year in South America to play small venues before audiences they've never played to before. Played 9 Crimes, Rootless Tree, Coconut Skins, The Animals were gone, and Accidental Babies. Full band.
