a few days ago i was listening to the radio and the dj was at a christy moore gig and he said that damien and lisa turned up and did a 8/9 min long volcano
was anyone at the gig i hope someone was recording it.

yeah christy is something special live but i think the majourity of his fans arent tapers (or not to my knowledge anyways)

Whoops! A bit of a mix up with the date there- tho it wasn't entirely my fault! Its THIS saturday, and myself and four other Irish ppl in exile are headin to L'pool to see the great man himself--cant wait!! I think i've driven my flatmates crazy (er) by listenin to Christy 'live at the point' and 'live in vicar street' etc all hours of the day and night! :P
ANyone else headin then?

i doubht it was taped, and even so...do we really need another version of volcano, a little unimaginative his choice of song in my opinion....if i had been there i think i would have had to bite my lip not to scream at him to play something new.....

Omg- the man is a legend!

The gig was amazing! He even sang songs that i thought he wouldn't like 'Lisdoonvarna' - including the intro about Gortahork- i was sooo chuffed! Then he broke into 'i'll tell me ma' after mentionin Van the man!

It was feckin lively, every accent u heard- well most neway- had at least a little irish in it.. tho a woman in front of me did ask if i was American.. The crowd got very excited especially when he sang about Ireland beating the English in a world cup match--mad altogether!! He sang soo many songs that i know and love- but they all seem to have the recurring theme of being away from home, and missing family etc and the one u love.. seems that they were written just for me! Anyways- a great nights craic altogether!
