Maybe it's 'I don't want to change you'... (It's in the lyrics somewhere)

Man, I loved that song too, and was also disappointed -- I was thinking maybe it could be 'My Favorite Faded Fantasy,' though. Still holding out hope.

Maybe a bonus track?

That could be a good sign. Those were the songs that didn't make the cut, and since we liked those the one that did make the cut must be better.

What makes you say that? I'd love to hear a full studio version of sand.

Just trying to match up lyrics. Last album there was a bunch of old music retitled (Girl Who Does Yoga became Dogs, BD Part II became Elephant, etc.)

There are a few places in sand where the lyric could be revised to "I don't want to change you" like the bridge where he repeats the "I don't want to" construct four consecutive times. The chorus ends with "I just want to be with you", and the pre-chorus ends with "this is bound to change".

The words "I don't want to change you" just come up a whole bunch of times in Sand. It probably isn't, but I just threw it out there because it popped into my head.

I am super happy that most of the songs are completely new and never-heard. I hope they are not old songs retitled... No One Need Know and Back To Her Man were good but he can do better. Although there is a possibility that No One Need Know is actually "I don't want to change you" since something like "I wouldn't change you at all" is in the lyrics, if I remember correctly.
But I just think he let those songs go and that with 9 he learnt that the best thing to do is just keep some songs secret until the album is out.

The usual strategy these days is to put the album up for pre-order on itunes now and give away a few instant grats. For instance, Ben Howard put the pre-order of his new album last week and you get 2 songs right now if you preorder. Everybody does it now, sometimes you even get 3/4 instant grats. Wonder if Damo could do the same, then we might get a new song very soon. Thats what I'd do if I were his record company, put for instance Bastard out now with the preorder as instant grat and that would attract lots of fans for sure

Given the circumstances, they almost HAVE to get some new tunes out their for people to hear.

I don't think Amazon was supposed to have posted that presale yet. I imagine within the next week the website will be relaunched and there will be announcements about the album, tour, band, all that stuff.

There will likely be events in October leading up to the album release. If he is on Warner, I would think they'll try to get him on Letterman and other late night talk shows. Plus I would think lots of radio work if they can get it. Interview/performance deals.

Although its getting late in the game here to pull it off, I would also think there'd be some full shows pre-release in NYC and LA to try to get some industry buzz going.

Personally, I absolutely adore "No One Need Know" but felt "Back To Her Man" was meh. Wouldn't be surprised if we get several hidden tracks and/or B-sides, though. The man writes a lot of songs that he doesn't put on his albums.

they also have the tracklist for the vinyl, but seems kinda weird to have a double disc with 2 songs per side:
Disc: 1
1. My Favourite Faded Fantasy
2. It Takes A Lot To Know A Man
Disc: 2
1. The Greatest Bastard
2. I Don't Want To Change You
Disc: 3
1. Colour Me In
2. The Box
Disc: 4
1. Trusty And True
2. Long Long Way

This twitter kinda points to Bastard being the first single:
https://twitter.com/georgergatoudis/...71404531699713

on Amazon it says itīs out on Atlantic. Is that the same as Warners?

What does the 6th track down say? Something "seeds"? Almost read that as "Mystery Oreos" at 1st glance. And what about the 1st track? "Camaricas"?

Really don't know what to do with this news...there goes the rest of my year.

Mustard seeds (sounds almost like a Lisa song (I mean the title, I obviousely haven't heard the song yet) )
Camarillas (that's a place in Spain)

^I think itīs Camarillas and Mustard Seeds.

Camarillas might be Spanish, maybe south American? cos we donīt have that word in Spanish from Spain sounds like "Camaradas" which means "friends"

also, http://www.wikiwand.com/en/Camarilla

"A camarilla is a group of courtiers or favourites who surround a king or ruler. Usually, they do not hold any office or have any official authority at court but influence their ruler behind the scenes. Consequently, they also escape having to bear responsibility for the effects of their advice. The term derives from the Spanish word, camarilla (diminutive of cámara), meaning "little chamber" or private cabinet of the king."

could make sense.
