I've heard only 1 other song damien has done that isn't on the album. It was Happy X-Mas (War Is Over). Where do you guys get these other songs?

I haven't heard all of them yet. I've been dying to get a listen of Rootless tree. Of the one's I have heard, which are not many, these are my top five in no particular order:

Insane
Face
Sand
Bottom Shelf
Moody Mooday

To Nick's question:
I heard Insane from kcrw's website. The other ones I got from damienrice.co.uk's music section a while back.

but there are so many other great tunes; nine crimes, toffee pop, bottom shelf, face, tongue, sex change... argh, hard to choose!

Has anyone else noticed that a lot of the choices on the thread are in fact released in some form. Baby Sister, Then Go, Face, Insane, Childish and Lonelily are already out.

I think it's interesting that not one of the songs chosen by people is off the "O" album. Why is that?

3. Cheers Darlin'
4. Lonelily
5. Then Go (the Backstage Club, Munich, '03 version preferrably... but I'm not picky)

Well, seeing that I only have one off the album, guess I've answered my own question, hunh? And I don't think I've heard Rootless Tree yet. I'll have to go on a search for that one.

The thread is called "5 Fav Unreleased Damo Tracks", a hint perhaps? As i understand it the parameters for inclusion wouldn't include anything off "O", because everyone knows that 'Delicate' is the best Damien Rice song... even Damien admits it.

Ooh, where can you get 'official' versions of Face and Insane? I know Face is on an AIDS charity album called 'EmBraces', but it's proving a little tricky to track down. And what about Tongue? It's not around officially in a Damien-type way, from what I know, but there is the Bell X1 version...The others (for the benefit of SisterMidnight

Yeah, Face is on that charity album, and Insane was released by Juniper on the Manna EP. Childish, baby Sister and Then Go have been released on Union Chapel cd's, Childish was on a free one that came with the paper one day. It could be argued too that Tongue isn't exactly an "unreleased damo track" either, it's not strictly a Damien Rice song and it's not unreleased.
