Damien Rice and Amanda Seyfried

Apparently, they've been working on music together:

All of a sudden, Amanda Seyfried is everywhere, and ahead of her next film, which involves working with Glenn Close adn John Banville, she discusses picking roles, long-distance relationships and writing songs with Damien Rice.

It won’t be her first time in Ireland, however. In one of those odd pairings that occasionally happens in the world of famous people, it turns out Seyfried teamed up with one of our august songwriters last year: “I actually worked with Damien Rice where he lives, this past fall and last April. We were writing a song for Dear John that we never finished, but if it ever gets finished I’ll be very proud I worked with Damien Rice. He’s amazing, he’s a really great guy, complex and loving and really musically talented. I got to live in his world for weekends at a time.”

Seems like Damien's starting a million different projects at once...

As for Amanda, she sang on that Mammia Mia remake - she's on the soundtrack and everything. But this is the only (original) song I've heard of hers though:

Interesting indeed. It seems that any celebrity that goes to Ireland ends up working on a never completed song with Damien. How does that happen? Have not seen "Dear John". Was it filmed in Ireland?

i was watching the dear john movie site (it will be in theatres by thursday) and, suddenly, it started to play "the moon" by the swellies... so even the damien colaboration didn´t work out, some of "our friends" are on the soundtrack

The trailer that played here in the US, had "Paperweight" by Schuyler Fisk and Joshua Radin, and "Set the Fire to the Third Bar" by Snow Patrol on it.

funny thing is that this Amanda Seyfried has one song from the Dear John movie on Itunes. So I guess the song with Damien never got finished, but she might have had a plan B and did a song with someone else maybe she had heard about 10 Days of Barcelona herself hehe

I hadn't heard anything she'd written before but that's a lovely little tune. Reminds me quite a bit of Tanya Donelly, which is high praise. Her voice really sounded different her and seems like it would really suit Damo's well in dueting.
