i just meant, i want i good spot. (I don't have to be in the front row, but somewhere in the first 5 rows would be nice —I'm not tall, I'm flying to Dublin, I want to be able to actually see the lad ) I have no idea how early I should go. Was hoping for some input from the local Eskimos

I'd love to meet a few Eskimos before the show! There are plenty of great pubs nearby. I'll message closer the time about when I'll be available. Hopefully 3/4pm

From Damien's twitter
Quote:
@DamienRice: Colm Mac Con Iomaire announced as support for Dublin Iveagh Gardens on July 12th - Gates 6.30pm and Cork Marquee on July 13th - Gates 6.30
Yay!

i´ve been meaning to start a thread like this as i recall there are a few of us going.

maybe i´m too much of a hippie, but i thought of meeting at st. stephen´s green park and sitting on the grass, hahaha. but i could go to a pub as well, i suppose

caro, the iveagh gardens have a quite big spot for gigs and it´s not actually hard to get to the front. i remember when i went to see bell x1, i arrived very early and there were just a few people. very easy to find a good spot. then, i went to see glen and i arrived very close to the time of the show and it wasn´t difficult to get a great spot either

as for the support act... i am thrill! and i´m keeping my fingers crossed for glen to join at some point

i went only in 2013 but it think it´s pretty much the same every year. they have bars and food stalls at the back of the "venue". i´m sure we all can grab a beer .

a favour to ask guys, please bring the sun back! the weather is being awful over here this week.

Aw, sitting on the grass in st. stephen's green sounds nice
(But whatever you guys decide is fine.)

Vere, I'm afraid the sun disappeared here as well. It's pouring outside. But I'll cross my fingers for Sunday

here in Denmark is total winter, now it was like 8oC (feels like 6oC), raining like hell, crazy wind from like the North Pole

what about meeting at like 3pm at St Stephens Green, can sit there for a while, then maybe move to the Iveagh Gardens to make a queue? I´d rather go for the front row

i like the idea... but, let me tell you that once in the gardens, you won´t have any problem to reach the front row as everybody will be at the back at the bar
unless, there are many people from abroad, hehe.

sunshine around here today

Stephens green great but laws about drinking outdoors more strict now so it'd be paper bags!!! Not sure about weather Sunday.. Dull but warm I think. Bout 20% chance of rain so we should be okay .. And don't be slagging us Irish about enjoying a drink!! Cheers darlin'

But maybe Damo has less hardcore fans than Tori

So meeting point St Stephens at 3 if anyone wants to join

we should agree on a meeting point. the arch entrance is the most common, opposite grafton street and st. stephen´s green shopping centre.

also, if you prefer to go to a pub for a pint or two, it´s fine by me. we could meet at the arch and decide once we all are there, i believe

see ya all soon!

i'll be there. I'm wearing a red dress and a dark blue jacket. (At the moment... Might change later. The red dress was a bit optimistic. brrrr )

It's been ages since I was here. Woohoo, hope to see some of you guys at the gig. Anyone know what time Damien comes on? If Colm starts at say, 7.30, probably around 8.30? I was there last friday for St Vincent and the gates opened exactly at 7, a queue has formed already, got to find a space at the front as we went quite early at 6pm then power walked our way to the front barriers Then waited another 30 mins in the venue for the opening to start. Hope we all have good time. Ta!

Ah, Lod, so sorry we missed you.
We all made it to the front row. Afterwards we were almost immediately pushed out, so we went for a drink in whelan's. I didn't check the igloo. Hope to catch you in Cork or Galway!
